Do you receive a Christmas (or Holiday, or End of Year) Bonus from your Employer?
If so, what sector do you work in?
I do not, and I work in education. My wife does, and she works in the medical field. Her bonus is about $2,000.

It depends on company performance.
On a regular good year, it's 10% of annual income. 75% of the bonus will be paid before Christmas and 25% during Feb next year. I work in corporate finance for a subscription business. DH gets no bonus. He works in academia. |

I work in the FinAid office for the local college. Not a thing.
My wife and mom work for the same school system (private) and they get a bonus, $500. Plus all the stuff parents give.

Husband works for a city and county agency - so no
![]() Actually our big "bonus" is that they will be able to end the 5 furlough days he had last year. Furlough for us meant five days in a year where the city shuts down and no one gets paid. A full week with no pay in a year was hard - so happy that it is over. And yes, thankful he has a good job that uses his degree and for the most part he likes.

DH does not get a Christmas bonus, just a bonus at a different time of the year.
![]() It varies anywhere between 17% and 28% of his salary. It all depends on how well the company did the year before. |

yes. i work at a relatively large church (large when you consider there are 385 churches in our county! can't sling a dead cat without hitting a church around here! lol), and the church board voted us each a week's pay for our Christmas bonus this year. we got our bonuses thanksgiving week, because the pastor wanted us to be able to take advantage of black friday. i had just bought myself a new, DSLR camera, so my bonus helped pay for that.

I work in television. We got 1 1/2 weeks pay. Last year it was $0. The couple years before that was a week.

I'm currently self employed, but worked for companies for 15+ years. I never worked at one that offered a Christmas bonus. Some offered profit-sharing programs that paid out a "bonus" but they were never at the holidays. And some companies offered some "perks" around the holidays (parties, outings, catered lunch, etc.) but never a monetary bonus. I worked for a computer software company, an advertising agency, an insurance company, and a major electronic commerce company.
My husband works for a large insurance company and they never get monetary bonuses either, but they do have a lot of parties outings.
