Early ADR and transportation - The DIS Discussion Forums

I have two early ADR's planned for my next trip. Both at 8:00 on non- EMH days. I have always used bus service from my resort to get to the parks, but I have never had such early ADR's. What is the best way to get from AKL to AK and MK for my reservations?

The bus, they run about an hour before park opening for early ADR's and rope drop! We love Tusker House, 8:15 ADR's, have breakfast and then head off and get FP for the Rapids,then take the Kilimanjaro Safari before it gets too busy!

The buses begin running much earlier than an hour before park opening. If you have an 8 am ADR in the MK, you'd want to be out at the bus stop around 7am for MK, 7:30 for AK (just to be on the safe side). They'll usually let you through the gate into the park around 20 min. or so before your ADR time.

In my past experience if I had early ADRs I would tell guest services and from what they say they will have the ADRs bus pick us up lol

I personally just think the buses run much earlier than what others think, bc I usually have lots of 730am ADRS and never a problem. In fact many of the bus drivers will take you directly to the hotel or park if you ask nicely

Thanks so much for the help. I prefer to ride the bus so this is really what I wanted to hear. After 4 trips to the world, I have never done ADR's so early at the parks.

When you check into your resort ask the schedule for the breakfast bus. At AOA it was 6:45 and 7:15. It was the CM who told us it was called the breakfast bus.

After being 15 minutes late for a morning ADR after leaving 90 min. to get there, we take a cab from now on. Approx. $15.00.
