8A motion on Dream/Fantasy

I was just reading about the 8A rooms on the Dream and Famtasy. Can anyone comment on the amount of motion in these rooms since they are pretty far forward?

We were in 8A(5522) on the Fantasy. Movement didn't seem bad at all. I'm pretty sensitive to it and really only noticed at night at bedtime! Didn't bother DS or dh at all. We loved the room and would totally book it again

The ship has stabilizers that really keep the ship, um, stable.

Unless you're in a hurricane, then all bets are off.

I like your sense of humor. It reminds me of...well...me!

Just got off the fantasy sat. Going to st. thomas we had 15-20 ft seas. You really felt the motion on the stern and bow area. Was taking the pills everyone recommends but after getting sick in the kids club area, I brought sea bands from the gift shop. This really helped. We were in a 4B on the 8th floor middle of the ship, the motion in the room was like a rocking chair not bad like in the other areas above. After we left San Juan the winds and seas really subsided and it was very pleasant. I asked a officer and he said anything over 12' you feel the motion even with the stablizer deployed. It was so windy during that time it just about blow you over. If you was out on the veranda. Very little rain and warm temps all trip.

We always stay forward, though haven't stayed in those specific rooms, but on decks 5-8. I don't feel the motion in our rooms forward as much as I do in the MDRs.

I guess everyone feels motion differently. When we sailed the Fantasy, we were trying to sail around a tropical storm and had 20 ft waves for 2 days. I could feel subtle motion (like a rocking chair) on the lower deck, but it didn't effect me. Some feel the motion but take no extra notice, while others are effected harsher. You're bodies sensitivity is what it all comes down to.

No problems ever before (8 Disney cruises completed), usually stay on deck7 forward. We will be in cabin 6514 an 8A on our January cruise.
