Disney Parks Blog announces early 2014 dates available Dec 4

Link to full post: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blo...4-itineraries/

Snippet: "The Disney Magic will return to Port Canaveral, Fla., joining the Disney Dream in sailing three- and four-night Bahamian sailings. The Disney Fantasy will continue seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises, also from Port Canaveral, just 45 minutes from Walt Disney World Resort!

A few hours’ drive south in Miami, the Disney Wonder will sail four-night Bahamas and five-night Caribbean voyages, with stops including Castaway Cay, Nassau, Key West, Cozumel and Grand Cayman."

Edit: On another thread someone is reporting reserving/booking won't be available until Dec 6. The actual itinerary dates are published on the DCL site for each destination type, for example:
http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/cr...hamian-cruise/

Edit: The DCL news site press release contains consolidated information about the itineraries and time frames:

It really doesn't say much, certainly no interesting news IMHO and I don't see anything "bookable" or new appearing on the booking portion. So another non-announcement from dcl...

No mention of Alaska for 2014 that I can see. Does this mean they aren't sailing there this year or is this something that would come out later?

Thanks.. More importantly it says starting today!! (Dec 4)

"Starting today, you can schedule your Disney cruise vacations for the early part of 2014. With all four Disney ships sailing from Florida ports, not only will you have more options to visit Castaway Cay, but you can also combine your cruise with a visit to Walt Disney World Resort and experience the expanded New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park."

I am kinda bummed to hear this! . We prefer a smaller ship so I wish the magic or wonder were going to be doing 7 day sailings. The Galveston sailings aren't selling so I am not surprised they aren't announcing any more sail dates out if there.

Its only for the Early part of 2014 so things like NYC and Alaska are summer, so there is still hope.

They should have rotated the magic with 3,4 and 7 day sailings. SO every other week would be a 7 night. But, 3 and 4 night sell the best and tend to bring in more money on board.

Disney is really scrambling at what to do and make 4 ships work, the problem is more people want tropical for a cruise no matter the time of year. Though it doesnt help that travel in general is down with this economy and job situtution. Not as many people are vacation like they use to

i think if they sailed out of Galveston in the summer they would sell out. It's a shame they didn't try it.

I talked to my TA, who called and learned that so far they have only announced the sailings from Florida ports, so more should be coming at some point. She also said that the Wonder, which is the ship that has been going to Alaska the last couple of years, doesn't have any sailings currently listed for after May, so chances are pretty good that more info will be coming down the road.

So I'm not giving up on Alaska yet. And don't give up on NYC, Galveston, etc.

Just spoke to a CM at DCL and she said that the Dream and the Fantasy have their sailings until the end of the year (2014). As of right now, the Magic and the Wonder will only have bookings available until May.

UGGGH. The last thing I was looking for was more cruises to the Bahamas!
I was hoping for some 5 night Caribbean with the smaller ships that were a little different from the 2013.

Looks like we'll be trying RCCL or going back to NCL in 2014. There is some hope for the Fantasy, if the rates aren't crazy.

I'm going to get my TA to look at the 7 night that go to Jamaica in the summer. We shall see if they are in the budget.
