Cape Canaveral Hotels

Having a hard time deciding on which hotel to stay at the day before our cruise. We will be arriving early in the day and would like to swim. Which is better- Residence Inn or Country Inn? Thanks for any help

You can't go wrong with either one. If you will be leaving a car, I'd check on the current parking/shuttle policies of each.

Agree....they are both pretty much the same....I would look at shuttle and amenities that work best for you.

Country Inn & Suites got my reservation in March 2011 and upcoming in Feb 2013 because of better rates. I've explored Residence Inn but I have not seen rates that I want to book, even with a corporate rate I can use.

My previous experience at Country Inn was good. The room was nice, the pool is fine, and the breakfast was great -- although make sure to get to the dining room as early as possible, as it got really really busy as the morning went on. Looking forward to staying there again.

Thank You! I have a reserved a night in the Country Inn (about 30 dollars cheaper than the other) however, they said you could not reserve a shuttle time until that morning ???

I have stayed at both hotels. We stayed at the Residence Inn this year and The Country Inn last year. I found the breakfast at the Country Inn incredibly crowded. They also had smaller shuttles for the port and seemed less organized. We really enjoyed staying at the Residence Inn this year. It felt less crowded. The breakfast was very calm. We noticed that when the breakfast room started filling up, the staff opened up a conference room to make space for more guests. The hotel also hires a large bus to shuttle you to the port. The bus left at 11:15 am and was very organized and was waiting for us on our return trip. It was worth it to us to spend a little extra money.

I forgot no need to make a reservation for the shuttle since it is a large bus.

Last time we stay at CIS we left our vehicle and called a cab to get to port ahead of the shuttle. IIRC it was about 10 bucks and they asked when we called if we had a lot of luggage and sent a van. Worked out nicely!
