Ideas for how to honor a Disney fan?

Hi everyone . I'm not sure if this is the right board for my question, but here goes. My husband and I have a friend who has been a HUGE Disney/Mickey Mouse fan for many, many years. Sadly, our friend is losing his battle with cancer . In a few weeks, our friend will be hosting a living wake to celebrate his life. The wake will be Disney themed. We would like to honor our friend in a Disney way. Our initial thoughts were the WDW bricks at MK and the Leave a Legacy tiles at Epcot. Unfortunately, I know that both of these programs have been discontinued, so now I'm asking for suggestions from my DIS friends . Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

How about a donation to Give Kids the World in his honor? That way his love of Disney can be shared with children with cancer and other life threatening illnesses.

Since he is still alive how about some Disney edibles. Things he could enjoy. They could be local gourmet cupcakes with Mickey. They could be boxed Mickey food. You could also try to recreate some Disney hotel favorites. If you are anywhere near the parks I'd drive and get some stuff like Mickey bars a special cake.

You could even give him a Disney movie night in a box. Complete with snacks.

If you want to do a donation. I agree give kids the world, make a wish or something similar but local are good ways to honor the spirit of Disney.

How about creating a scholarship fund in his name to help disadvantaged kids experience Disney? You probably won't have it funded by the wake, but you could show him your vision, get the 501c3 started and also get his input on how to select a family. Select a school? Write an essay? Have teachers recommend a family?

Do you know anyone going to WDW soon? I recall someone on a message board mentioning that it was her relative's birthday. Someone went around the parks and videotaped tons of characters and CM's sending the person specific, personalized birthday wishes. Maybe you could do something like that too, with them thanking him for being a huge Disney fan. He could watch it over and over again.
