great ticket booth experience

Last week we had a unexpected and awesome ticket experience.
We bought anual passes before the ticket increase last May like many of you. A month before our trip our oldest son decided to go. [I should of bought him a pass knowing he was probably going to change his mind at the last minute, but I didn't.] So we bought a costco 4 day with the gift card, to upgrade him to an AP as well. I fully expected to pay full current price difference. The gentleman at the ticket booth asked me why I didn't buy an AP in advance for my son as well, when I gave him the Costco ticket to upgrade. I told him I had a very indecisive teenager and I didn't know he was going to go with us.
So this is what he did. He said he would overide the ticket and give us the old AP price. I couldn't believe it. I only paid $104 more dollars instead of almost $200. I didn't ask for this, didn't even cross my mind that someone would do this for us.
In addition to that. My mother bought a six day before the increase and he let her upgrade to a AP for the old price as well.
Final note on the Costco ticket you are still getting the value of $275.
