My family and I will be in the world for our FIRST TRIP in 8 days! SOOOOOO EXCITED! :-D

I am making a checklist to hang at the door for what not to forget in our park bag. I will be carrying a medium-ish cross body bag and camera and hubs will carry a backpack. We have 3 kiddos..ages 9,7 and 4.

This is what I have so far. I would love any experienced friends here to add anything I might be forgetting! I truly appreciate getting all the great info as a first timer so thanks in advance

KTTW CARDS
small wallet/$ (is this necessary or can u charge any purchases to your room?)
Autograph books/click it sharpies (is it true that they need to be black or can they be colored?)
Cell phones
Camera/video/extra battery
Small index card notebook with itinerary..park hours, Adr's etc
Sunglasses
Sunscreen stick/Chapstick
Hat(s) for my little redhead
Few Band aids
Small pkg wipes
Small hand sanitizer
Gum
Water bottles
Snacks
For later nights...glow bracelets, blankets, hats/gloves etc depending on weather

I would LOVE ANY INPUT! Thanks so so much!

I also always carry aspirin or something for pain with me. You never know when you won't feel good and you won't want to hunt it down. I also took quick treats with us like suckers. These helped when we needed a quick sugar fix. Have a wonderful vacation!

Yes, we always take ibuprofen. Especially useful in case you get headaches or neck tension from some of the coasters.

Advil or whatever you use.
Moleskin, cut it in different sizes.
Orajel, priceless with all the sweets around.
Pepto, those you do not need water for.

This sounds weird but if I am wearing tennis shoes I like to pack an extra pair of socks just incase my feet get get. My shoes will eventually dry but if my socks are wet I can't stand it, and I don't want blisters!

I like the antibacterial wipes (like wet ones) more than the gel, I think it's more effective on little kids grubby hands (i love you, but why must you touch eeeeeverything??)

And shout wipes. Because ketchup mishaps happen.

I'd add ponchos, baggies for covering your stuff if you go on a water ride or it rains, some sort of pain reliever like ibuprofin, and tums because you never know when someone might get an upset tummy! HAVE FUN!

I'm not a fan of carrying stuff with me, but I totally get it when you have kids. It's a little more of a pain, but remember that any counter service restaurant will give you a free cup of cold water any time you want it. Water weighs a lot! Figuring a pint is just over a pound, you can really add to the weight of your bag quickly with a few bottles of water.

Seconding precut moleskin - moleskin and a hat (fellow redhead) have saved more than a few park days for me. Sunblock, sunglasses, chapstick, hair ties, phone, spare battery for phone, a miniature wallet, one index card with touring plan, tissues, and Excedrin migraine take up the rest of my bag. I add a pashmina and gloves if I expect a chilly night or morning. Camera lives around my neck or in DH's backpack with our ponchos, a small microfiber towel (dry off wet seats and other things) and two plastic bags (extra protection for camera and phones if it rains and a place to stick the wet ponchos once the rain stops). He also has his wallet, sunglasses, phone, and small camera. We usually add a bottle or two of water but much than that is too heavy.

I would suggest taking a walk around your neighborhood with your loaded pack. I get grumpy if my bag (small cross body) is more than about 2-3 pounds because I also usually have my beloved but heavy DSLR attached to me. DH is OK for even a very long day with 10 pounds but we usually don't need that much capacity.

I would keep some cash or a back-up card with you even if you plan to charge things to the room. I wouldn't want to be stranded with nothing of there was some sort of KTTW system failure.

This! I always bring extra socks and seal them in a baggie. That way, whatever water made my original socks wet (rain, Kali, etc.) won't get my replacement socks wet, too. Also, I'll always have a baggie to put my phone and passes in to keep them dry on wet rides, not to mention keeping my wet sock off of everything else.

Subbing this list since we leave in 8 days! I need to get a(nother) list together for packing. DH would love my spreadsheet. Not.

Thanks for all the tips!
