Just booked Coral Reef! Wish us luck!!!

Hi all! I just cancelled our Teppan Edo lunch reservation and replaced it with an ADR for Coral Reef. I love Japanese food and we have never eaten at Teppan Edo, so I was looking forward to trying it out. Plus, I've read so many conflicting reviews for CR that I am quite apprehensive about eating there. That being said, my husband is an avid fish lover (we have 3 aquariums at home), and my two boys would probably enjoy the aquarium too, so I made the sacrifice and switched.

I hope we enjoy the experience! I'm hoping that our early lunch reservation (11:35 am) will translate to eager servers and freshly-prepared food. Wish us luck!!!

Coral Reef is second only to Le Cellier in favorite restaurants at WDW.
The mahi mahi is a must every time we go to the World!

Good luck. Terrible food and service was our experience there.
Too many WDW visits to count now that I live nearby part time, 1 DL trip & 4 DCL sailings.

I just ate there for the fourth time this past September and enjoyed it every time. There were six of us this last time with several different entrees and everyone loved their meal.

Hope you have a good lunch. I took the risk and made an ADR for Coral Reef for our anniversary dinner. DH wants to eat there. He doesn't know about it and doesn't know about the reviews but everyone has their opinions and they will all be different. Never know unless you try.

I had the best steak I had eaten on property here. I have not a thing bad to say about this place; have eaten here 3 times (once in each past year) & have always had 4 well prepared meals, good service & lovely atmosphere.

I absolutely love Coral Reef. It is a must do for me every SINGLE trip to disney. I love their Lobster Mac and Cheese, and their Cream Brulee-- it's my fave on property! Have a great visit!

LOL you sound like me, I just cancelled Teppan Edo because we decided to do Candlelight Proc. and Corral Reef was the only choice left, hoping to be pleasantly surprised

Like you, I was really apprehensive about Coral Reef, but my mom and sister really wanted to eat there. I was pleasantly surprised - the atmostphere of the restaurant was gorgeous and the food was really good. Many of the complaints about CR seem to be about the service, but we had great service.

We ate there this past week. I must say the mahi mahi I had was probably the best seafood dish I've ever had. My only complaint...a larger portion! Our service was good. We even saw Mickey scuba diving!!! We had a 11:35 reservation and the place was pretty empty during most of our meal.
