Are beach excursions ever cancelled due to weather?

We are booked for playa mia beach break in Cozumel. If it is ranging, do they cancel the excursion? I would hate to pay almost $300 for a family of 4 to go to the beach on a rainy day. We really want to do something, but not something that requires a taxi ride.

Excursions are occasionally cancelled due to weather.
But not for rain.
The weather needs to be more brutal for DCL to cancel excursions.
Such as thunder storms with lightning, or they may cancel if a hurricane is near.

They will not cancel or refund for rain.

I was on the Fantasy in September, and it was rainy on the day we were in Cozumel. It wasn't raining hard or anything... just a light but steady rain.

But yes, they did cancel the beach excursions. And they gave everyone who's excursions were cancelled full refunds.

For excursions scheduled for later in the afternoon, they were offering guests the choice to wait and see if the weather cleared up by then... or to go ahead and cancel and get their money back so they could make other plans for the day.

Every other day on the cruise we had perfect weather!

We also had our beach break excursion in Cozumel cancelled on the 1/8/11 cruise. There was a light steady rain but the waves were so bad that they closed the harbor to boats. That also meant that people had to stay out of the water. There was no point to going on a beach excursion. I felt badly for the people who were on early excursions because they went and were not given the option to cancel. Some got really sick on the boats.
