What is 65* in WDW?

Trying to plan clothing for our trip. There are a couple days that are predicted to be around 65* at this point. I know what 65* feels like in Maryland, but what does the florida humidity and such do to the feel? Is it slightly colder? Warmer? Is the sun "hotter" during the day since it is florida? I will be packing a little bit of everything, but I am wondering if I should pack more summer clothes (and jeans) or long sleeve shirts. With the airline weight restrictions, 2 outfits for each day just isn't gonna work, so I have to hedge my bets.

We were there a couple weeks ago and had days in mid-60s. It was okay during the day with just a tee shirt or light jacket. As soon as the sun went down we definitely wanted our jackets on - lots of people were buying sweatshirts!

For us it felt very damp. I agree with the pp that as soon as the sun went down it was chilly. We typically wore jeans and a tee during the day of under 70 degrees.

Don't forget that around home you probably aren't going to be outside in 65 degree weather for hours and hours on end. So while it feels warm walking into a store or out to your car after awhile it gets a bit cool. Also don't forget that there is so much shade in Disney (espeically for benches/seating areas) so you won't always have the sun to warm you up either.

When the weather is forcast like that we usually wear jeans and a tshirt with a ligthweight jacket or sweatshirt on top. We are constantly pulling it on and off or at least pushing up the sleeves. Early morning and evening you will definitely want a sweatshirt/jacket. As soon as the sun goes down it gets quite chilly.

We were there begining of Nov. Started out in a tee & shorts Sunday, by mid week it was 60* & they closed the water park. I wore a long sleeve top everyday over my tee & last park day I wore jeans & hoodie sweatshirt to AK (it was cold on EE!). When we went back at night to parks all week I wore several layers on top (I didn't have any 1 heavy thing packed) and jeans.

Keep in mind 65* is the warmest part of the day & only for a short bit. I find layers good & you can tie it around your waist.

You have to realize that Florida is part of the Atlantic, not the Caribbean.

A 65 degree day with 70 percent humidity at home (I live in DE) is going to feel about the same in Florida.

Chilly.

We were there at the end of October / beginning of November and had 3 days where the highest it reached was 65 degrees. At home (Pennsylvania) I'd be out in a t-shirt; in WDW I was purchasing a sweater! It did get warmer in the sun but not warm enough for me to take the long sleeves off.

65 can be shorts and a t-shirt during the day in the sun with no wind, and can feel like 40 if it is humid, windy and in the shade, at night.

Was just out walking the dogs in Fort Wilderness, where its cloudy and 67 with 66% humidity. Without the sun I definitely wanted long sleeves. Yesterday it was mid-70's and sunny - good thing too - we were in the front seat on Splash Mountain, and was drenched - 5 hours later, my jeans were still damp.

Best advise is layers for tops, and long pants. If you end up with warmer days, even in mid-70's and sunny I was comfortable in Jeans. Once the sun goes away it cools off quickly. More often than not, people waiting for buses or on the boats look really uncomfortable in shorts.

Have a great trip!

Early mornings & evenings after sunset can get downright chilly! Layers are your best bet for sure!

My personal rule is if highs are below 70, don't even bring shorts. I even sometimes bring a light winter coat for night. 65 and sunny feels much warmer than 65 and cloudy. Once it gets dark, it's cold if it's less than 65, no matter where you are from.

If it's in the 60s, for me that always means jeans, a long sleeve tshirt, and shoes with socks (no flip flops) during the day and at least a sweatshirt on top of that at night. We always bring small pair of gloves. They do wonders in chilly-ish weather to help keep warm. For DH, 60s is long sleeve tshirt and shorts. He doesn't mind the cold as much as I do. Go by how cold natured you are.

Arrived here 11/27 (Tues) and the wind has been blowing (especially today, overcast & windy). I had on long sleeves, plus a wind breaker all day, could have used more tonight with the wind. Of course, some people had on shorts/tee shirts all day (but most of them looked cold).

We've lived in MD and 65* with wind is the same no matter, if you are outside all day - and remember 65* high, does not mean 65* all day Think it stayed in the low 60's today.

Anyway, I think the thing to do is to layer, because each week down here can get colder - or not

I'm glad I found this thread. I'm packing right now for our trip (we leave 12/6 for Florida, and will be in WDW from 12/11-12/18 after going to Universal, Sea World, etc.)

I'm packing a lot of cardigan-type sweaters and jackets for layering, long sleeve and short sleeve tops, jeans, 1 pair of shorts (I hate shorts though), 1 skirt, and a few sundresses that can be worn with sweaters.

Hard to deal with weather predictions so early but the highs for our trip are between 69 and 74, with lows between 52 and 57.

I'm here now, it was chilly today. It was about 68 but felt cooler because of the breeze. I was comfortable in jeans and a hoodie
