Is Claire's still "Cool" with tweens?

Need to buy gifts for 5 girls between 9 and 14. Was wondering if gift cards to Claire's would be a good idea. When I was a teen I loved Claire's. Wondering if young girls still like it. I'm especially worried abot the 14 yo.

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! My daughter is 12 and she could open her own store from all the stuff she has purchased.

I was in there a few weeks ago and the place was *packed* with tween and teen girls.

ETA: My niece is 16 and she still goes there.

My daughter stopped going there around sophmore year in high school. I think you're right on the edge there with the 14 year old. It should be ok.

Yep, and we just got a Charming Charlie's as well (think it is owned by Claires, but not sure if the gift cards are transferrable) that is a big hit as well.

While I really like Charming Charlie's, DD15 doesn't. She said it's more for those 20+. She likes Claires and loves Icing by Claires. What the diffrences is, not a clue.

Its still popular. The 14 yo may not love love Claire's (I remember that was about the age girls at my school started moving from that shop to other different shops, depends on the social group really) but she still should be able to find something that she would like to get there.

Some stuff is more adult in there (I have to admit that I love the store) but my DD loves the "tween" section, which is a lot like the regular Claires. She loves how it is all aranged by color too!

What about Bed Bath and Beyond stuff? My daughter and her friends all are into that stuff. She is 15 and is past Claire's for herself but if she got a gift card from there I know she could find something.
