Prepay hotel, trip insurance
I'm getting ready to book our hotel for our upcoming cruise. The hotel offers a discount if you prepay, but it is nonrefundable if you cancel. If we did have to cancel the trip, would our trip insurance cover the hotel cost?

It depends on where you bought your insurance. Did you buy it from the cruise line? If so it may not cover 3rd party airfare or hotel expenses.
