NYE at resort...which one??
Can anyone give advice as to where to go (not a park for us...too crazy with 2 four yr olds...and we have lots of other park days)....we wanted to see if Wilderness Lodge, Boardwalk, or somewhere else would be having a special night....??? Never been to the World at NYE...hmmm, the possibilities!

We were at AK a few years ago on NYE and from about 4 Pm till closing (8 PM) it was very uncrowded. We walked on some rides and rode Kali 4 times in a row. I guess b/c the park closes early there everyone leaves. It's something to consider.

LOVE wdw for NYE! Boardwalk is a great place to be- you can see MK, EPCOT, and studios firework all at the same time. However, if you're not staying that late, I'm not sure the resorts do anything particularly celebratory. I'd avoid DTD like the plague. If you can get off property, I'd check out downtown Celebration's NYE events.

NYE! That sounds like a lovely idea, and I'd have to say, if I was going for NYE.. I would go to the Contemporary hotel. That has such a great view, and comfortable area's including tables and chairs with the view of the Castle and Fireworks. Or if you want to go all out with the $$$, you could get the castle view room to watch the 'rocking' new years' and see the fireworks!

The MK also does an early firework show at 8pm usually. We watch it from the beach at the Poly and then head back to our resort and go to bed early. Usually we start the day at AK, which is not busy, stay there until after lunch or the crowds start arriving, then swim, shop, etc, we then do an early dinner at one of the monorail resorts, tour all the monorail resorts and then see the fireworks. Makes for a great NYE without the late night!
