Reporting back on my ds who also applied (early action). His ACT score was 34, his SAT was 1510, with his English being the higher of the two combined scores (perfect). He got deferred, which means he will have to apply with the regular admissions.

I once worked with a woman who got her degree from MIT majoring in one of the humanities. As long as you can hack the tough science and math courses, you can get a great liberal arts education there too.
