Its Nearly Time to Say Goodbye :(

I'm headed home today after a fantastic 8 day trip. Although I'm sad to be leaving, I think I've decided 8 days might be too long for us at this point...

Although I would happily stay longer and veg out by a deluxe pool for a couple days... Maybe I just need less park time and more resort time?

It has been a fabulous trip and I've already booked 2 return trips with the BB offer but I'm ready for my own bed and to be reunited with my fur baby.

Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to help!

I am with you on this. Went for 7 days in October 2011 and felt like it wasn't enough, booked a 10 day trip in April 2012, and we left on the 8th day.

We now know 7 is good....keeps you wanting more.

Return home safely.

Totally understand. We were blessed with 10 days on our last visit. By the 8th day, much to our surprise, we were really getting home-sick. Think 8 will be the magic number for us.

I had one 2 week trip...thought it was so wonderful when I was planning it. First I was traveling by myself. I had friends there to hang out with, but after a week or so, it gets old, real fast.
I like a nice 8 night stay. Perfect for me. Anything longer than that and I get nudgy and bored.

How were the buses?
Are the parks kinda on the slow side?
How warm is the pool water?
How's the food in the Food court?

While we loved our first visit at 7 nights (sat to sat), we still yearned for more. For us, 8 nights (9 days) has been the sweet spot. That is what we've done the last two years. Although, we did find the need to "mix things up a little bit" to keep the yearly visits from being too much of the same.

This past year, we used our first full day at Sea World, which was a day well spent. This made the rest of the Disney trip fall into the following 7 nights. That was perfect for us.

It's also what we plan this year. 8 nights, but one full day at the beach (probably Clearwater) in the middle of the stay.

We had a 12 night trip once. It was exciting to plan and we had a fabulous time but after the 9th night.. yep we were homesick and ready to go. 10 days seems to be our perfect number and we use 2 of those days for Universal.

I'm glad to here you had a nice trip. Have a safe trip home

We are going in march and just wondering what the BB offer is and if it will be the same when we go?

I would love to go for 8 days...we have only done day trips and this is our first time onsite for only two nights...need to convert DH to a disney lover!

How busy the parks are, depends on when you are where. Friends found HS & EPCOT to be on the slow side. My experience was just the opposite. MK early this morning was pretty nice - The new fantasy land was pretty crowded.

The kids appear to be loving the pools (low 80s I think for water temp) but the mom's not so much.

Ate counter service at Roaring forks, Mara, Be Our Guest and Tangerine cafe, so far. The meals were acceptable - and the triple chocolate cup cake at BOG was FAB-u-lous. LOVED the whole vib at BOG.

Bounce back was 35% off frack rate at Deluxe villas, 35% off at delux resorts and 30% off at Moderates.

Some dates are blacked out.

I don't think I could spend more then a week onsite because I would be aching to go offsite by the end! We're going for 10 days soon, but staying offsite and also doing Universal and other stuff in Orlando so it's not just Disney for our whole trip.

We had no issues with buses. Although we only went to DTD once, we didn't have an issue there either.

The parks are much more crowded than I expected. I booked this trip in search of the lowest possible crowds and was frustrated by the wait times .

The Fantasia pool was frigid but the Mighty Ducks pool was manageable. The kids didn't mind, of course, but we were grateful for the extra warmth.

We all enjoyed the food court for what it was. It's not gourmet but it was tasty and "did the job". We really enjoyed our table service meals and I'll do a full trip report soon with all of the details.

The BB offer was 30% off of moderates and 35% off deluxes/villas and included dates thru the end of 2013.
