I started having foot issues at the same point. That was a rough stretch.

Knocked out my first Goofy (and first marathon). I finished in 6:32ish. I think I should be around around 5:30 for a normal marathon but too many factors held me up (heat, foot issues at mile 16, and that half-marathon-the-day-before thing). Thanks to all the Wishers along the route. It was a huge boost seeing you guys. You were better than tylenol for my marathon pains. Next race is Dumbo Double Dare for that C2C.

Ok marathoners, please have your families keep an eye on you. We had a very scary incident on our shuttle bus where one guy became unresponsive and we had to pull over and wait for the paramedics. Once he came back, he said he felt fine but was still very pale. The fire dept took him to the hospital.

This. Exactly. On and on and on and turn and turn and turn.

And the big characters were the opening show for World of Color during its first summer at DCA. They have had then at the DLand Half. They are awesome and love them. Just not headliner material.

Big BIG disappointment with Mile 20.

Finished the marathon just under 5:52. It's a 6 min PR for me despite running 13.1 yesterday. I think I'm capable of a 5:30 or better without the high temps/humidity and when I'm not going Goofy!
I ran negative splits today and I'm quite pleased in general.
Hated the course in WWoS and thought mile 20 was lame!

I hated the endless WWOS too and was underwhelmed by mile 20 after all the hype. I took nearly 7 hours to finish because the heat was getting to me by WWOS. I finished though!

Thanks to the W.I.S.H. Team! You were a big spirit (and blood sugar) boost!

Well my dad and I finished it took forever..... We were doing well until mile 18 when my bad MCL decided to swell up and started hurting but we finished.

I cried like a baby when I finished. Many of you know about my heart issue but I have to make will about 4 years ago when I had my heart worked on so the fact that I am now a marathon finisher got to me.

I thought ESPN and 20 mile surprise were lame.

Congratulations to all the finishers and a HUGE thank you to the wishers at AK. The ice was much needed and came at a great time.

Oh I also was completely underwhelmed by mile 20. I like AK a lot.

I'm a Goofy! First (and last) marathon. Both days I took it very, very slow and took very good care of myself. Finished feeling fine (but feet sore as all get out). Walked to the busses looking every bit like a finisher, and exited the bus like a centegenerian).

Pleased to have accomplished my goal despite injury back in the fall. Super pleased to be done, and not have to return all my completed-marathon gear!

Thanks to Liz, Zela, Joe, Coach Charles and others for all their support, companionship and advice.

Thrilled to bits over here on the bus home.

Great job to all the finishers. (Which includes DW and me).
Courtney, I'm glad you made it, you should be proud.
Wvujules - how are you doing now?

Best part of ESPN was the turtle on the track.

WARNING - ***** session coming feel free not to read.

Why is Joey Fatone special. His wife got pregnant and he got to use her Goofy bib in his own name.
Never ran more than a 5k and slogged through goofy. Takes a lot of the joy out of it.
Then when he finished they stopped calling out names to talk about how his beer stop slowed him down.
***** OVER

Good job everyone.

Well, I'm goofy..it was my first and def last marathon. I finished around 6:40. I've tried twice to go to downtown Disney, but when I stand for a long period of time I get dizzy and light headed. Feels like I'm gonna pass out. So back to the room I went. Congrats to everyone on their races
