question about cabin availability
I just went through all the catagories available for my cruise and picked "select cabin." No cabins showed up only GTY.
Why would they say that lots of cabins are available when no cabins show up as unreserved? I looked this cruise up on AAA and it is all filled. I guess I don't understand GTY. It seems as though they are selling cabins they don't have or are hoping people pull out of. Maybe someone can explain this to me.

Quote:
DCL (as well as other cruiselines) does this in order to manage their inventory. Some people booking GTY category rooms will be upgraded to a higher category if necessary. Everyone booking a room will have one.
