It's in the rooms too as someone else has said. We had trouble at Pop Century with the wifi but once we checked into Coronado Springs we didn't have an issue. We had four devices using it most nights.

We were in Ranchos 7B and I saw a few other people taking cell phone calls outside their rooms too... weird!

Do the cheerleaders usually stay at CSR? I would have thought big groups of kids would be staying at a Value Resort. Does anyone have any current information on groups staying at CSR May 2014?

Sorry it's been a little while since my November trip. Some had asked about business class at Coronado Springs. We did like it. It definitly was the closest area to El Centro and the feature pool. If location is big to you, then this is the location.

As far as the lounge, it was ok. Don't expect hot meals or anything you would normaly expect at the concierge level at the deluxes....it's not like that. It was nice though to stop by for breakfast and get some fruit, cereal, or bagel/muffin, or yogurt for breakfast. For a small comparison, we ate at The Wave one morning, and instead of their buffet, i had their contenintal breakfast which comprised of 3 pastries, coffee and juice. That came to about $10.00. All three items i received at The Wave were at the lounge. (if that helps in any determination) In the evening, they have a cheese platter and mixed nuts. As for beverages, they had canned soda's and some beers. My only dissapointment was they had no bottled water. The water there makes me sick, and they had ice water from a pitcher. The sangria was good, both the white and the red. It's funny, anytime we asked a female CM for a sangria, we received fruit mixed in our drink; if we asked a male CM, no fruit...thought that was kind of odd LOL. As mentioned in other posts, i wouldn't consider the lounge to be a substitute for dinner meal...just a lite snack. The CM's there were very attentive!

As far as the bus route, If you're going to DTD, you're the first picked up at bus stop 1. For all other parks, you're the last to be picked up and the last to be dropped off. We didn't mind it too much, but it does take about 5 minutes for the bus to make its run through the resort once you get on property. Even though we had very low crowds when we visited, we were standing on the bus a lot. If you wanted to get on/off at Bus stop 2 and walk through the main pool area to/from Cabanas 9B, that's possible, but it is a walk. We didn't try that.

There was no turn down service as the Disney site mentions, but we had no issue with that. There were two bathrobes hanging in the closet when we got there. We had 3 in our room, and asked for another. We received it that evening...excellent service The laundry room was a quick walk, right next to the pool at Cabanas 9A. The Mousekeeping staff was good, but if you want to sleep in, be sure to put the privacy sign on your door, or you'll get a knock on the door asking when you'll be leaving for the parks.

So, i guess the question is...is it worth the extra money? I'm not a good one to gauge that. We had the money available so we spent it and didn't look back. Did we enjoy it? YES I guess it depends on how much you plan on going to the lounge and availing yourselves of those services; the number of people in your group, and how much your location needs to play a role in your vacation. My wife and i will spend the money for the convenience...even if we didn't take advantage of all that was available (just to give you where our mindset tends to go). If we stayed at Coronado again, we would book it.

As for other thoughts, we like Pepper Market and Loved Maya Grill....in fact, we loved that place more than both Mexican table service locations at EPCOT. Much less expensive too

We were in 8B on the parking lot side and sometimes at night the wifi was painfully slow when using our tablets. ATT cell service no issues at all throughout the parks and resort. Most of the time my cell was connected to the wifi though in the resort and parks.
Even had good service at the pool.

We saw the cheerleaders that were there 12/7 for the Christmas Parade taping but they were very well behaved and quiet. Saw a cheer-mother make a scene in the Registration area but that was all.

What are your experiences with waterview rooms? I'm not sure if I should book one. We were upgraded to a view of the quiet pool and lake in cabanas last summer and we loved it. I don't want to get stuck at ranchos. What kind of view did you get if you booked waterview?

Thanks for reminding me, still only showing one convention so far in May. I just don't know if that is typical or will more be scheduled?

Stayed at this place four days last week, and checked out the day the Pop Warner crowd officially arrived (although their families started showing up a day ahead of time).

Beautiful resort, no problems with housekeeping. Food court was adequate, never ate at table service on site. To be honest, I really hate Mexican food but I was still able to find things to eat at both the food court and quick service. We stayed in a water view room, wanted to try business class and couldn't (was completely booked for this trip). Not exactly sure what section it was we stayed in, just know that it was next to bus stop #2. Also, mainly older and childless couples staying here until Pop Warner arrived, so up until then the resort was very quiet and peaceful. Resort is huge, and if you have problems with walking you will hate it here, especially if you have the refillable resort mugs.

That being said, I'd stay here again, with just a few caveats...just not when Pop Warner is here, or during a busy holiday season. I caught the beginning of it, as I was checking out the day they were arriving, and that was enough. Morning of arrival day the food court was already packed, loud teenagers running around all over the place, I witnessed inappropriate activity going on in the women's public restroom, and buses were packed. Bus service is just okay on the quiet slow days, terrible on the busy days.

Eh, I really should probably start a trip report on the trip report boards.

We booked waterview on our first trip to CSR in 2011 and had an awesome 3rd floor corner room in Casitas 4 that looked over the lake.

We were in the same room 12/8-12/11. I also had some issues with my AT&T cell service. Wifi seemed to be hit or miss depending on the day.

This was our second stay at Coronado and we love the resort. We arrived after a few days at Dolphin, and while that resort can't be beat in terms of location, we thought the room at Coronado was much nicer.

Check in took a long time at 9 am with only a few people waiting. I've never understood the point of online check in (though I still do it every time). They always ask for all the information again at the desk (credit card, phone number, etc.) and the line is usually just as long as the regular line. After 4 nights in a double bed at Dolphin we decided to try to upgrade to a king room at Coronado. She said the resort was full and it took a long time, but eventually the found a room for us We were charged about $21 per night for the upgrade (as opposed to the $30-$50/night we saw online when we booked).

We were in room 9160 in Cabanas 9A. We got the text that our room was ready right at 4 pm. The rooms are beautiful. Housekeeping was great and we had no issues. The first morning they came knocking around 8:30 am to clean the room, so like another poster mentioned recently, put up the Do not Disturb sign if you plan to sleep in.

We only ate at Pepper Market once, but really enjoyed it as a quick meal. The toppings bar for the nachos/tacos was great and made what we thought would just be a snack into a filling meal.

In the future I think we'll avoid Pop Warner. We knew about it when we booked so can't complain, but it was definitely noticeable and I think we'll avoid it in the future. We had big groups of people cut in line in front of us to join up with their friends multiple times and it just got annoying. The main pool was very loud/crowded in the afternoons with big groups (to be expected).

The pool/slide/bar were great. They had the fire pit out at 5 pm everyday for roasting marshmallows which was fun.

We didn't have any issues with the bus service. We never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a bus. They got crowded at peak times just like every resort we've stayed at.

Luggage Services was overwhelmed by the Pop Warner groups. 30-40 kids would show up at one time to store their suitcases (saw this both when we went to check our own suitcases and the day we checked out while waiting for Magical Express). It made for a long wait. It seems like they should have a separate location for these groups to check their luggage so they can put everything together with one claim tag quickly. This was one of those times where it seemed inconvenient to have all different types of travelers together (families with little kids, conventioneers taking work calls, and large groups of teenagers). Mass chaos is the only way to describe it.

Overall we had a great stay and will be back someday. Both the rooms and grounds are beautiful. We didn't encounter too many cast members, but those that we did talk to were very friendly and helpful.
