Thanks to everyone who has offered to report back. I will be waiting with bated breath!

Since my post, there have been more details floating around the boards... one of the things I've read is that you can still receive the KTTW card, especially if you are having MB issues, but the KTTW card won't work in the paper FP machines. Some people have countered this statement questioning how they can "turn off" valid KTTW cards to the paper FP machines. So it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Changed my Feb trip back to CSR today! We decided to take our chances with the Grainger convention. Fingers crossed it wont be too bad, but excited to stay at CSR!!
Good luck to everyone going soon! The lack of real info is so frustrating.

They absolutely can "turn off", or in this case, never program cards to be able to pull FPs. I lost my KTTW card last year and the CM who "helped" me gave me a real mess. I ended up with one card that was my Park entry ticket and I used that to get FPs. I had to be issued another one to be able to open my room door and for charging. But it wasn't able to do anything else. So I definitely believe this is happening. Just stinks as I don't find the ability to pre-book three better than pulling unlimited same day ones. I can only think Disney things advanced FP is better as that is what they are giving their resort guests, but I think they are way off on this one. I would much rather send my husband all over the parks to get our FPs and not be limited!

We check in on Nov. 22 and I am praying we can still pull regular fast passes too. My only complaint about the bands is the limit of three fast passes. I know we normally double that amount. I'm hoping that Disney will make a change with the limit.

If they stop us from getting more FP with the KTTW, does that mean we are all stuck with just 3? Or they will "upgrade" with more?

Just got back from our stay, and I apologize if someone has already mentioned this, but I haven't read through all the posts since I was gone. Anyway, if you want to do morning extra magic hours, you NEED a room key. Two of the three parks we visited for morning EMH required folks to show a room key...apparently the Magic Band was not sufficient. It seemed really silly to me (and lots of other folks too) but that was how it was. We only needed to show one for our entire party, so I was so thankful that my husband was carrying his out of habit.

Just curious how many more than 3 you think you've been able to obtain and use in the past?

When I first heard about it being 3 my initial reaction was similar to most that it isn't enough. But when I actually sat down to think about it I don't think my family has ever really used more than 3 or 4 in a day anyway. For us we typically wouldn't spend more than 5-6 hours in the park at one time without a break so 3 is about the right number to be expected. The only people I really see this possibly cutting back the number they are used to is the family's that can actually open and close a park. If you are there from 8am to 10pm you could pull more than 3 out of the old system, but most family's wouldn't be able to be in the parks for 14 hours straight.

I have thought about our past use as well. We are park open to close people, even with two young kids. And at Magic kingdom, we used 5-6. The other parks three is fine but MK has me worried we won't be able to ride rides like Peter Pan or do the princess meets because of long lines. We used our fast passes on the mountains.

We haven't done wdw yet... But are DL vets... Park hop of course, and can typically pull a half dozen FPs in a day easy. We start early and watch the windows... And pull the next one as soon as we can. It's harder now with the enforced times, but we have saved a ton of time that way. So 3 to me seems like not enough. I'll take it of course, but if there is a chance to get more? Deluxe stays get 6 or mods get 5? I would love that!

I'm thinking they will somehow utlize the number of FP+ to their advantage once the bugs are ironed out. Whether it be resort level, onsite/offsite, special promotion, etc. It could be a great tool for them to fill certain rooms, it's a pretty decent carrot to dangle in front of someone offering them more FP+.

I've had 4 we usually spend 8 hours or more (with park hopper). We're two adults with no hildren and we have TS meals, that gives us more energy.
