There are towels at all of the pools. It's great. Mouse keeping takes the back should you bring them to your room or there's a towel return at the pool.

vnuzz, great, wish you all a fun time. We will also be going to MNSSHP on tues Sept. 10th for the first time, also the first MNSSHP of the year. Can't wait.

I've checked and looks like there will be the Contemporary Ceramic Studios Conference 2013 there Sept 8 - 13th

I don't know how big this convention is but I don't think it will be that bad.

Another room request question --
For us, we'll only go to the pool once (assuming the weather is nice enough in November). A bigger concern is proximity to the refill stations and getting a seat on the bus. We are typically rope drop people. I was thinking Casitas 4 would be best for that. Do Cabanas have problems getting seats? We have two small kids and the dreaded stroller. I hate having a long walk back to the room at the end of the night (as we are usually carrying one child).

Sept 8 - 13, Contemporary Ceramic Studios Conference 2013 looks to be the only one currently scheduled during your trip. I can't imagine that it's a big one, but who knows?

OH!! oops. That would be why I was confused. Didn't notice that.
If I wasn't so tired I'd figure out a smiley that smacks itself in the forehead.

So to that original poster, Yes there is laundry and soap by all the pools.
I believe it's $2 for a wash and $2 for a dry. I read that somewhere.

How do you find out if there is a convention? Also curious about quiet building near bus stop / will most definitely be carrying DS6 each night & want to avoid long walk from bus stop if possible. Not worried about nearness to pool dig site etc - mostly want to avoid long walk after days in parks and prefer quiet room since we do nap back at room each afternoon (DS2 would never make it through a full day wo a rest & neither would DH)

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards ... 09/2010 CBR Pirate Room ; 11/2012 POR Royal Room ; Early 2014 CS in planning process'

Unless this has changed, when we went last year you had to bring towels from your room to the quiet pools, but there were towels at the main pool.

I really DO want to live there!
I circulate my paper clips at work so they all get used or I feel like they'd be sad if they didn't get a "turn".

That's what I paid last April. The laundry area is very nice. There is the typical laundry soap vending machine there along with change, etc.

We love CBR (our favorite moderate), POR and POFQ and have stayed at each one numerous times but never at CSR. We are seriously considering our first stay there next year. My daughter has autism and can find the food courts overwhelming, especially with the long, loud lines waiting for food. I realize the one at CSR is set up a bit differently than the other moderates, are you seated first and then you go to the different stations to order? Can you refill your own mug?

From what I'm reading the wait person fills your drinks.
So because of the being seated and filling drinks there is gratuity expected.
This turns some people off but if you know it up front then you have a choice to go find another QS place to eat.

From reading these boards, I'm excited to try new resorts. I tend to stay with what I know, but now considering other options for the future.

The gratuity part doesn't bother me. I guess I am just trying to figure out if the whole ordering, getting food process at CSR might be a little less time consuming than we experienced at POR this past May. It was overwhelming (the long wait to order, to get the food and then pay) for my daughter. Are you not allowed to pick seating at all? We always try to find a table in a quieter corner. Now I am wishing we had at least visited Pepper Market on our last trip. We like to resort hop and use QS dining credits at various resorts in addition to the one we are staying in.

I thought I would be annoyed by the gratuity at PM, but it was not bad at all. We were always seated right away and I even requested certain areas to sit and they were ok with it. We got our food fairly quickly and it was so nice to eat it before we paid. Don't forget that they will clean up your dishes too so if you are in a hurry it is one less thing to do. After we stayed at CSR, we stayed the rest of the week at AOA and really preferred Pepper Market. The food was better, it was less crowded, and we didn't have to deal with cleaning( at AOA you have to bus your own table, sort your dishes and silverware and try to get your garbage in to a slot. It's gross to have to look at a pan with dirty dishes and food).
