I experienced the Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow Yesterday

Hi Everyone,

Wanted to give an update on the happenings in the park.

I was fortunate enough to visit Hollywood Studios newest attraction the Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow yesterday and I must say it is different from anything else at Disney. If I had to compare it to any other experience, it would be similar to the interaction you have with Madame wardrobe in Enchanted Tales with Belle. It is set up like a circle vision movie.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask away!

interesting

The interaction with Madame Wardrobe is unique and I felt like Enchanted Tales was different than what Disney has done in the past.

I was thinking Jack Sparrow would be ho-hum...but now I'm excited to try it...Thanks for posting!

I haven't had high expectations for this attraction, and the initial report I read (different thread) didn't sound all that exciting. But having seen the photos from the third thread on this subject today my interest is piqued. They do show promise of a more interesting experience.

I don't understand why people have such low expectations for it. Narnia was so awful how could anything be worse?

What time were you there?

...Also, do you have a shirt with your monorail tagline on it, and if so, did you wear it to Epcot a few Sundays ago?

Disney sells shirts that say that in their shops and online. It could have been anyone.

I asked because I was there with a Meetup group; one of the guys was wearing one and he also happens to live in Celebration, like the OP. I thought it might be him. Funny similarities, given the fact that it wasn't.

Having never done the Enchanted Tales with Belle, I have nothing to compare this to. Is it a sit down experience or a walk through experience?

Could you describe the level of intensity? My DS6 is going to want to go this but I don't want him to leave scared to death. He loves POTC the ride, but hasn't seen the movies.

So it's a show that happens all around you? Do you remember how long it is? I'd be curious what waits will be like.

Yep, Narnia was the worst. After we got rooked by that attraction we took great pride in directing our friends going to DHS to be sure and see it because we think it's the second best "ride" in Hollywood studios. We would really talk it up to the newbies and then when they returned from their trip we would excitedly ask how they liked the Narnia "ride". THEN when they would tell us it wasn't a ride we'd tell them that "it must have been down" to see if we could get them to go on it again on the next trip.

My one friend thinks I'm out of my mind and can't understand why, after all the helpful advice I was able to give about Disney, this attraction is SO appealing.
