Psssst - it's two keys together Ctrl+Z Really, try it sometime...

Actually there are two you should know Ctrl+Z is undo, Ctrl+Y is redo. If you Ctrl+z and it makes too much "go awayie" Ctrl+Y makes it "come bakey".

Here endeth the rant.

Unless you use a Mac, then it's Command+Z for both functions.

Ok, still kidding.

Happy Birthday Rich Little!

Yep,,, you just nailed them all. Every year on my Bday I'd check the newspaper to see if anybody else joined the list that was just remissed before,,,,nope,,,it's always just those three names,,,,, how LAME-O is that? ANd I Don't even like Peanuts! In the entire history of the world, Tina Turner is the best we can come up with for nov. 26? I'll bet Feb 29,,, has better celebrities,,,heck,, I'll bet Smidgy's January 35 has better ones as well.

Yeah, a white cane would do it, but I don't think Nebo's quite at that stage. Wish I could think of some magic way to help you folks out.

You are right on that part,,,,but I still love the line,,, "There's be a lot less litter in Disney if they just gave blind people pointy canes",,, I know,,, I'm sick,,, but that's how I deal with adversity myself.

About 5 years ago, I had a chance to do some fund raising where if you raised enough funds you could go skydiving for free.

Hold it,,, is that if you won or lost?

I thought, "Win/win." I always wanted to try it. This wasn't one of those tandem jumps. You had to step out of the plane, hang onto the wing strut, then let go.

I'd have no problem with the letting go part.

Oh, you mean letting go of the strut,,, never mind.
Actually,,, I always did want to try it,,,,never got to it though,,,and now I'[m not sure I'd look good in a heart attack.

Your chute was supposed to automatically open. They trained you on what to do if the chute didn't open or the lines got tangled.

Well.... I did it once and it scared the hell out of me.

But I didn't want to let fear decide for me whether or not I could/should do it.

So I did it again.

Well of course you did,,, makes sense to me.

Yup. Just as scary the second time around.

Oh, and did I mention that both... both! times the lines were tangled?

Next time you try it, call me,,, and if they get hopelessly tangled this time,,, I'll catch you.

I've reached that point where if I don't want to do something.... I'm just not going to do it. And I'm not going to feel bad about it either.

I honestly feel badly about the times I'd try to talk her, or a son,, to go on a ride with me that they clearly wanted onop part of,,,yeah,, not one of my finer moves in life.

Pot? Kettle. Good to know ya.

With full pack.

Ya,, one of the early ones.

Thanks for the plug.

Really,,, thkat's great picture,,, way too cute,,, post it here so everybody knows what I'm talking about if you have time.

You know,,, I really ;thought your life had just about concluded,,,, I'm talking about my moustache,,, and your first words are what I just quoted.... that's a recipe for death,, unless they happen to work in the circus.

I usually grow a beard in winter and shave it off as it gets warmer. I have to give advanced notice of when I plan to shave it off so it's not much of a shock.

Can't pictue you in abeard,,,, PICS? Give.

I know a few people that recently went to Potterland as well. They took lots of pictures and would be willing to share them with your viewing audience. Would you like me to post them? I can post them tonight. I just need to upload our pictures first.

Absolutely Mike,,,, the more the merrier,, my thread is yours.

Chocolate frogs are a little expensive, but man it takes forever to eat one of those things it seems like. I love the chocolate wands. Frozen butterbeer is better than the non-frozen, but Hogshead Beer is the best. Ask Lady H, she'll tell you.

Never had one of the frogs,,, what, are they like Slo Pokes?

Were you hoping to enroll into magic classes?

Now on our recent trip, it was not crowded at all. We went in 2010, the year it first opened. We went 4 months later and lines were still crazy. This trip, it was practically a walk on. What a difference 2 years makes.

On November 26 of this year,,, at six at night the wait for FJ was 60 minutes. The next night, at the exact same time, it was listed at 15 minutes.

I have pictures of the inside to. I can show you what you missed.

Again,,, go for it if you have the time. I do remember a few things that came through,,, like the fat lady on the wall.

Dumbledore talking to you? Couldn't be. He died. Snape killed him and..... Right, it's all about magic.

Actually,,, it wasn't Snape,, it was Dumbledore's own wand,,, that belonged to his brother,, that Olivander made that recognized Harry as it's owner,, even though Malfoy had just had it,,,that,,,,,uh,,, what were we talking about again?

Just like getting onto Rip Ride Rock-It.

Funny,,, after gettin my head slammed into the ride car, I don't remember a moving walkway there at Rip Ride.

This is the first time we went into Olivander's wand shop as well. Line was always more than an hour wait. Never interested enough to wait that long for what is probably only a 5 minute show. You didn't miss much. It is quite cute to see once if you've never seen it, but I wouldn't do it again.

Ok,, that's pretty much what I thought.

Sum of All Thrills would be kinda close, but FJ would still take it by a land slide.

I did some Sum once and yes,,, the vvehicles are similar,,,, and yeah,, totally agree,,, Sum is nothing ,,,,, I'd be embarrased to even have that still open if I was in Disney management,,,, and it opened pretty much at the same time as FJ.

This seems to be a popular pic everyone needs to take. Lady H and I have pics with us in front of the Hogwarts Express also.

Yeah,, like going to Disney and not taking a picture by the castle.

Did you ride both tracks, or just one? I really dislike that they no longer run both cars at the same time. Both coasters are fun, but it was more fun when they would both go at the same time. The way it was designed to run.

I know, I know,,,, I only did one track this time,,,Fire.... and you can thank the idiots with cell phones for the new configuration timeing,,, more than once , somebdody got hurt from people leaning over to take pics of their friends that rode the other train., then lost the camera/phone.

This was Lady H's favorite coaster of the trip.

My favoriet coaster was the one under my beer at the poolside bar at Royal Pacific later that night.

sorry

Forgot Pooh had the new interactive queue. We skipped over it. I'll have to try and remember 4 years down the line, to go on it.

To me,,, it ranks right up there with Snow White,,,,the interactive stuff is just for kids.

If rumors are correct, this may not be around too much longer. Think they're getting rid of it for the HP expansion.

Yeah,,,, and losing sinbad is no loss.

Did you know that you can do a walking tour through FJ? When it first opened, I didn't know about this. I learned from the Universal threads about this. This allows you to walk through the queue at your own pace. Lady H and I did this while D'Sis was off riding Hulk. Something to maybe consider on your next trip to Uni.

Did not know that. so, you're saying I could take out a n entire tour group next time?

People!! Do not! I repeat, NOT give Nebo a pointy cane... or a pointy stick. Do you have any idea just how much damage would be meted out, both to himself and others?

I shudder just thinking about it!

Unfortunately just a facade. I think they use it for storage.

Well no,, Fang and Buckbeak live there. And sometimes late at night, Professor McGonagal and Fred Weasley would meet up and go and spend,,, well,,, that's another story.

Seems its the other way around, Disney pushing Uni. Uni is coming up with some awesome stuff lately.
yeah,, even though Disney bought the Marvel rights,, Uni has come to life big time lately.

Actually, it happened on 8-5,,,, and why is mmy good buddy turning no me too? Justify? Wacked? Subjected?

The last time Tim and I went to Uni, we just got engaged. Should be fun!

Wait,,, my choices are wacked? And you haven't been there yourself since Alaska became a state?

BTW. Who just passed her exit interview? This chick! The supervisor who lead the interview was in tears and said to the group of 5: I am proud that you all represent what WSU stands for. I have two days left of student teaching and all the weight of the world lifted off of my shoulders! Feels great!
i already congratted you,,, but again,,, nice going, you know I'm always cheering you on.

And what a co-incidence, same thing happened to my son too!

(that's either gonna grant me a "touche" , or a 22 hour cold shoulder)

in answer to ponies query, if nebo wanted to ride it again, we would do it at night, when he could see it better (whether or not I wanted to ride it) which he did, and he did. and I didn't.
and yes, it was nebo's birthday!!!!
If you can drop that sentance off by nine tomorrow, I can have it shortened by Monday.

Only if you're leading the tour group. This walking tour is not a guided tour, but rather a self guided tour; or in your case, Smidgy guide me through the castle tour. You tell the TM you want to do the walking tour and they point you in another direction. There are a few differences in the walking tour from the main queue but eventually the tour lands back up in the main queue. Once you get back in the main queue, you are in a separate line so people just walk on past you. No blocking anybody and nobody trying to mull you over to get to the ride. You can take this tour at your own pace and actually take as much time (or as little time) as you like to see everything Hogwarts has to offer.

Here's a picture I have that shows the separate queue's. Notice how empty the lane is on the left. That lane is for the people taking the walking tour.

mike, I LOVE the beard!!!!!! it fits you!

ponz, your girls are so pretty! (must take after their mom)

that walking tour sound real interesting. I'm tired of people rushing us through lines.. the new Mermaid ride? the queue has interesting things in it to look at, but everyone wants to rush to the ride.

ok, a funny (not so funny at the time) story about Jeremy and sky diving.

Jeremy was in college. and besides classes, very involved in activities. he was president of the college Programiing Board (kinda like student council), and vice president of the Theater arts Club. and at the time, he was in a play, with rehearsals all the time. hence, not much time to work.

well, silly me had cosigned on a loan for his car. (nebo and i were split at the time, and Nebo wisely turned Jeremy down on that one. he had cosigned for Todd, who faithfully made all his payments, so it was my turn. I got stuck with Jeremy's loan... sorry kid, but you don't read here anyway)
so, with little time to work< I was pleased he was involved at school, and helping him with his payments, insurance, even buying him cigs from time to time. (hey! either I was the mom of the year, or up for child abuse charges! you decide.)

so he calls me at work one sunday to tell me he is going skydiving that day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he didn't want to tell me ahead of time to give me a chance to talk him out of it, and didn't want me to worry all week.

smart kid, I was tending bar and he KNEW I couldn't talk long on the phone.. oh, the sneakiness.

after I get over the shock, I say, "um, how much does this cost?" I think it was like $200 or something, "but, MOM! you get a free vidoe tape of your dive!"

"well, how are you paying for this?"

he proudly replies, " I've been saving up!" ooh! still ticks me off, excuse me, I have to go call him and yell at him again, it's only been 12 years or so. hmm, maybe he's on facebook, scuse me, gotta find my kid to yell at him.

ok, I'm on a roll. there was the time I won $100 on the shake a day at the bar. I had recently lost about 40 pounds, and planned on a shopping spree!

I came home and Jeremy was there, but not his car. I charge into his room.. "where's your car?"

"oh, mom, I'm SO screwed. I parked in a no parking area and it was towed, It'll cost $100 to get it out"

"do you have it?" (silly me)

(this wasn't the car I cosigned for. this was his previous car, which eventually was stolen from him in Chicago, and 3 weeks later the cops called and told him where they found it, and he and a buddy went into the city and stole it back but that's another story...)

now I should have just let him deal with the consequences. but every day the storage fees multiply exponentially. and without a car, he can't get to work, to make the money to pay the storage fees. so I stood there, throwing the cash on him in his bed yelling "FINE!!! go get you stupid car out of tow! Take the money I just won! I'll just go NAKED all summer!!!!"

the terrible twos are nothing.. It's the terrible 18s, 19s and 20s!!!!!

(for all who don't know, jeremy is now married to his high school sweetie, has a good job, and 2 beautiful children. good thing I didnt' kill him)
