EMG test and Carpal Tunnel...
How do you find relief? Mornings are just horrible.
Went for an EMG test today .... was given wrist supports and have to see another orthopaedic next Wednesday.. they mentioned steroids and maybe some CTS surgery???

HI. I am sorry I never saw this post before.
![]() I don't have carpal tunnel, but had those EMG's and OMG I hate them.. Believe me, I have been through quite a bit, but those things freak me right out the door.How are your wrist supports helping?

I don't have Carpal Tunnel but was just dx with Tarsal Tunnel (same thing, but in my feet), and had the EMG test. Wow, that was awful! I'm being treated with Cortisone shots and orthotics/braces.

I agree with the EMG being the most miserable test!
The carpal tunnel surgery and recovery is easier than the EMG studies. I had both hands done, three weeks apart. So glad I had it done! |
