I am quite sure you don't. It usually involves things that are quite serious.

I am not going to post too much as I don't wish to worry the OP, but you don't want it.

Went to the doctor

Okay to so the doctor was able to see me today and he looked at my medication and said that more or less I was on the wrong medication so I was glad to hear it was a easy fix. So he put me on the right medication and told me to splurge from time to time and that will grantee(sp) me that I wil stay at 115.

I'm glad it was an easy fix!! And I'm really glad you got the meds corrected.

What medication could possibly make a person lose a pound a day?

what exactly are you supposed to "splurge" on that is going to keep you at 115? How long had you been on this medicine? If a long time, how did it suddenly make you lose a pound a day?

My idea of that for example only having a coke once a month vrs a water with lemon I know that is at least 240 calories and that is a lot

My next door neighbor has been losing about a pound a day on diabetes meds. Nice side effect for him. He needed to lose, but continued after he reached an acceptable weight and then they reduced his meds.

I am on thyroid meds. My levels were so high (too much meds) that the doctor was surprised I didn't lose tons of weight. My body decided to just shut down instead. I am freaking about what will happen when the levels get back to normal. So I guess there are meds out there that do have this side effect.

I am on meds for many reasons and one of the said effects was to loss weight but when it went to far he changed it.

I find it interesting though he would know right off the bat which med is causing it. I am also on a lot of meds and many have overlapping side effects. 28 pounds in as many days is very concerning. I'm surprised he wouldn't want to run any tests, at the very least a blood workup.
Is this a med you've been on for a while at the same dosage?

So it can be more then the medication that was causing it should I question it? I was just thinking it might be the solution sens that is what caused me to become over weight to begin with

Could the weight loss be stress-related?

OMG so funny you said that because DH and I have been under a lot of stress lately due to moving and we are still in the process of it we are staying at my dads because we decided as a family that we were tired of paying rent and we are waiting for a house to open there is more to the story but that is the short version.
