Right now we have an excursion to boatswains booked through DCL, mostly because I'm afraid of missing the boat

Really considering booking independently to save lots of money. Has anyone bought tickets online just through boatswains website. If you did what transportation did you use to get there and back?

If you book thru Boatswain's, THEY provide transportation included in the ticket price. Totally safe.

There was a thread on this earlier today--scroll down a bit.

We booked directly through the website and were told to just look for the person holding the turtle farm sign. We actually ended up riding the same bus as all the cruise passengers that had booked through the cruise line. Was very easy, had lots of fun there.

I replied on the other thread about this but I'll answer here too. We booked directly thru the website and were on the same bus as the DCL people (last week!). Buy the pass for the whole park for the lagoon and pool! DCL wanted 4 times as much! I heard on the other thread that they got buffet lunch but don't think my kids could eat $300 worth of food! We got the first bus there and the 12 pm bus back. Super easy!

Thanks! Sorry to make this confusing by starting another thread!! My sister & I were online trying to find out all our options & I just told her I'd ask my dis friends because they'd have the best advice. Looks like we will probably cancel thru DCL and buy admission on the boatswain website.

We'll definitely get the pass for the whole park. Pics of the pool & lagoon look amazing. Can't wait!!

I've been digging on their website, but still have a few questions.

are there age restrictions on any of the activities?

Is the water temp in their lagoon too cold in the winter months (early december)?

They had originally said our youngest (3 but really big for her age) couldn't go down the big slide. DH went with her the first two times then they let her go on her own. It was super hot in GC the day we were there and the water temp was perfect!
