Best Character Breakfast Rankings? - The DIS Discussion Forums

We leave TOMORROW, so of course ADR's are popping up like mad for our free breakfast days. I have a five year old daughter, and we already have a dinner at CRT planned. The only character breakfasts we've done are CRT, Ohana, and Akershus. Right now I have ADR's for-- 1900 PF, Ohana, Crystal Palace, Tusker House, Chef Mickey, Akershus, and Cape May. A few I just added in and I may need to rearrange our park plans a bit. Wanting to know what's worth it. We are not commando tourers or worried about missing rope drop, etc, since our dd is pretty limited in what she can do at the parks anyway.

So if you could rank the character breakfasts in order from best to worst, I'd appreciate it.

Ok we have been to Disney 3 times and done most of these
1 best breakfast chef mickeys
2 breakfast 1900
3 breakfast crystal pal
4 breakfast Tusker house(2007) it was good but it's been a long time
5 breakfast akersus it's ok not great
Never been to ohana or CRT for breakfast

Out of the list of the breakfasts you have booked, I would personally rank them:

1. 1900 PF- Great food and fantastic interaction
2. Cape May- Good food, good interaction, pretty tame for a character meal
3. Tusker House- Good food, decent interaction
4. Chef Mickey's- OK food, the only place to see the Fab 5
5. Crystal Palace- Spotty food, spotty interaction, get into MK pre-RD
6. Akershus- OK food, decent interaction
7. 'Ohana- Iffy food, spotty interaction

Crystal Palace-Cape May- Tusker House - Love all 3 equally.
1900 Park Fare
Chef Mickeys
Ohana

We have never done Akershus.

NOTE: All the above locations were visited from 3/1/12-5/1/12.
Results are listed from best to worst. Overall, Tusker House wins
due to best food and the length of time the characters stay at
each table. A close second is 1900 Park Fare. By far, Chef Mickey's
is the loser, due to mediocre character interaction and almost terrible
food quality. The very distant second worst is Cinderella Royal Table,
due to the brief time at tables for charcters and the new menu.

I agree with this. We also love CP, Cape M, Tusker equally! I might like CP a bit more than the other two, but not by much. Theyre all fantastic.

This is how we rank them:

CPalace, Tusker, Cape M- we love them equally as mentioned above. CP might be the 1st place winner for me thou. Character interaction was the best. Esp with Tigger!!
Ohana is 4th for us - food is good, characters are great, and the place is gorgeous.
1900 PF is 4th - food is good but not outstanding. Characters were just ok. Not great. Mad Hatter was funny thou. Atmosphere can use a refurb.
Chef Mickeys is dead last - food NOT good (quality and variety), characters were really good thou. I didnt care for the atmosphere.

Crystal Palace (breakfast)
Ohana
Tusker House (breakast)
Akershus (breakfast)

Never tried CRT, 1900 PF, or Cape May.

I would only return to Chef Mickey's if my kids requested it. As of now, they don't remember it and I'd like to keep it that way for as long as I can. We've had two very unpleasant breakfasts.

I agree with this as well. We also love all 3 equally. Love CP, Cape M, and Tusker. I think CP is the nicest with the best food thou. Ohana is great. While 1900 PF bfast is good, its not my fave. It might be the atmosphere, its kinda lousy. It might be the characters, im not a fan of any of them. Mad Hatter is the only one i care to see. The food is good but not excellent. Chef Mickeys isnt good. Food isnt the best, but its decent enough i suppose. Characters are great thou.

We do CRT breakfast on our first day, Tuskerhouse on our third day and CP on our fifth day. We love all of these!
