I'm finally platinum and appreciate what is offered thus far, especially priority boarding! But if there are too many plats to do the extra special things, then go ahead and add a new level with some new exclusive cool perks. Again, just don't strip away any more of the exiting benefits.

As the fleet has expanded and may continue to expand, we may see more rewards for keeping loyal customers, but that won't happen when they have a pretty good demand for the product as it is.

I don't have much of an opinion on how they determine the levels. They have do come up with something and it should be easy to keep track of and know, hence the number of cruises.
They already keep track of the cruises and number of days, and you can too, right on the castaway club website. I have to say I did miss the "platinum" experience on the Hawaii cruise = there were over 1000 of us. I feel like as a platinum I bring them a lot of business - not just my own, but the people I encourage to travel with us who wouldn't ordinarily have booked the cruise.

Last year I had a party of 17 on our last cruise - and spent a total of 37 days on one of the Disney ships. This year my total will be 28 days. Next year 26. The perks are nice, but the real reasons we sail Disney are the Service and Safety.

My point was that the formula should be as easy and straight forward as possible. Be it number of nights or cruises or some other simple bench mark.

And the number of nights is not entirely accurate on the CC web site. It does not take into account any cruises whose schedules were altered due to weather or other circumstances.

I would be sad if they didn't have the Castaway Club. And don't most cruise lines have a special "club" or membership for their repeat customers?
We sail with DCL because the rest of our family does and we love being together and we love the special Disney magic. If it was just me and DH sailing, we might consider another cruise line if they offered an itinerary that DCL did not. I'm a kid at heart and I really enjoy the Disney ships. No casino, lots of fun and characters everywhere you look, and themed adult areas and shows too! (we don't have any kids)

Now, perks like discounts according to your club level may really be an attractive reason to keep their repeat cruisers... good idea!

DCL needs to rethink how they reward people and I let them know in an e-mail. I too am upset that our 15 night Wonder PC cruise counts the same as a three night cruise. I'm fine with anything less than 10 nights counting as one, but anything above 10 should have higher reward points given.

I agree! And way to go sending an e-mail!
Maybe someone will get on top of this and change things.
Our 14 night PC cruise only counted as 1 cruise as well.
I'm sure they read the Disboards ~ Don't they!?

I can't complain I've done 19 cruises 3 nights being shortest and 8 being longest. I don't cruise for the benefits. Sure booking things early is nice, but if they took it away I would not mind
