Costco travel discounts - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hi there

I've just joined Costco as an Executive Trade Member.
Can anyone tell me whether I will be able to access any Costco discount codes?
I've looked at the travel site but it appears to just be for members living in the US.

Unfortunately not. In the past I've contacted Costco in the UK to be told no.

I know a couple of years ago in their US stores they offered a Universal Studios ticket that could be bought in store, the type where you pick it up off the shelf and not have to go to customer services, and I know somebody on the boards took advantage of that. But otherwise you can't. Such a shame

I've seen discounted tickets at Costco in the US but they have been for local residents only unfortunately.
Still worth going in for a look if you're a member - we always make a point of visiting Costco when in the US - and it's usually the cheapest gasoline around as well

If you are a Costco member and you are visiting the store while you are in Florida you can buy the tickets the same as any other person, you don't have to be a local or live there - your Costco card is valid for purchases the same as it is in the UK. We regularly buy Universal passes from Costco when we go, also we usually phone them before our trip to make sure that they prices are good, the staff are always helpful and check that they've indeed got them in stock etc.

We haven't found access to any other "perks" outside of the UK though I'm afraid.

We'll no doubt take a peak in one of the California stores but probably buy our tickets before we go as I've no idea whether there will be a Costco nearby
