Where are the protests to remove Coke from WDW? Let's remove Nestle, Edy's, and every other brand I'm forgetting about. I have not seen anything official from Disney saying the bakery is going away. Everything I've read says the theme will be the same, Starbucks will be added, and the bakery's favorites will remain.

Bring on the Starbucks!

~I wish Tim Horton's would make their way back out. Yes, I like the flavor of their regular coffee better than "burnt" Starbucks! But, their staff needs some serious training -- I just feel bad every time I go to this place, like the world is cold and unkind. Why do I have to continually beg and plead for a sleeve?! Every. Single. Time. They guard them like gold or something (cupholders, too), it's so not worth it. At least, Starbucks has well trained Baristas. And, now their cute holiday red cups are back & today I got a really cute "rekindle the spirit" bag with a couple of cute squirrels & an adorable snowman on it! I just LOVE the holidays!

I love (love, love, LOVE) Starbucks and I really love their holiday drinks (caramel brulee lattes! <3). I'm pretty neutral as far as this goes, but I do wish Disney could come up with a themed coffee shop or cafe. Caramel Mickey-atos, anyone? (:

[QUOTE=GreenCntryGirl;46696083]To me, this is like when they renamed Comiskey Park to US Cellular Field. It felt really weird.[QUOTE=GreenCntryGirl;46696083]

I still find myself, at times, calling it Comiskey Park .

I'm not a coffee drinker nor do I have any interest in any of their offerings, so Starbucks isn't something I want/need.

I think it'd be better if it was in Downtown Disney, but I can see why they'd have it in the parks. Wish they could just make a cart or something with it, that way they don't have to take over other places.

I'm kind of glad to see the Fountainview Cafe go back to breakfast stuff and not an ice cream place. I was really disappointed when it stopped serving pastries and started serving ice cream.

And I also wish the Confectionary would stop selling cupcakes and cookies and go back to selling candy like it used to. The new fudge is terrible. They don't have the chocolates like they used to, it's a substitute bakery instead of a confectionary.

The proliferation of people walking around with scalding hot coffee and children in strollers is not a good mix.

Thanks for your input, it's really appreciated.
Yeah, 20 ouncer for 3.09 +tax don't sound too bad for WDW, if that's what it is.

Hi there!, Nice to see you too!

Great poll Brunette!

I voted, "Disney needs to offer something special". While I enjoy SB in everyday life, no matter how many fancy words they use to describe their coffee, it is not special, MSB was. If they just added coffee, I would not mind, but changing MSB and taking some menu items out is not an addition.

Nescafe wasn't special coffee. Starbucks is the most special coffee within the price range.

I vote "yes," for no other reason that I find it funny to see how grown adults can be so up in arms over the placement of a quietly-branded commercial entity in the park. Those same purists don't seem to care all that much when they stand at a "Kodak" picture spot. try an cup of free Coca Cola or order one of those craptacular Dole whips....

Does this even deserve discussion? Who really cares if Starbucks comes to Disney. You will buy your drinks at SB, or you won't.TDBIASWS.

I voted I don't care.

It all depends on how it's done. If they are just going to serve SB coffee in existing food areas and not be SB theme stores, then that's fine and really no different than getting a Coke as your drink from all the food places. But, if it's going to he Starbucks franchise, run as a stand alone Starbucks, then I have a problem with that. From what I've read, it sounds to be something in the middle and although it doesn't thrill me, it's not something that bothers me that much.
