I don't travel across the country every other year for a month to buy common everyday items. They are watering down the magic and I will spend my time and cash elsewhere.
FYI - Not sure that coffee is part of any magic. But if you think traveling across the country to spend your time and money eating ice cream on Main Street U.S.A., I have a spoiler alert for you. Buy a Starbucks drink at your local grocery store. Then sip it as you walk down the frozen food aisle to pick up the same ice cream that is sold on Main Street, Epcot, etc. You'll save a great deal of money. But you won't get ANY magic either.

I don't drink coffee and that's what makes me love the decision to include Starbucks. They have a large selection of noncoffee drinks and are one of the few places in the US that give tea drinkers more choices than simply a tea bag and a cup of hot water in a plastic cup. Not to mention that every time that I can buy a hot chocolate where the person harvesting the cocoa was paid a living wage is a personal victory after living in west Africa for a year

How bout Dunkin Donuts coffee and Starbucks hot chocolate with Main Street bakery treats

We always get our coffee before going to the park, I think once DH went running thru MK looking for coffee when we skipped stopping at the hotel to make rope drop.

The ice cream served at Fountain View is Edy's. you can get that in any grocery store (it's Dreyer's on the west coast.) it isn't special Disney ice cream.

You are correct. Dreyer's got its start in Oakland, CA, where it is still headquartered today. Edy's is the east coast version. And as I posted on another thread, Dreyer's/Edy's is now owned by Nestle.

If you like Dunkin Donuts try the Blonde Roast. It's a much lighter blend then anything else starbucks has. Also I thought they were going to continue to offer the Main Street Bakery pastries along side some of Starbucks pastries?

Because of all the controversy, we stopped in at the Main Street Bakery for the first time this past Dec.
We like flavored coffees - we tried the bakery's current flavorings that you can add in (the ones by the sugars and creamers) - they were terrible - very aritificial tasting - in fact so bad that we couldn't finish the coffee. We can't wait for Starbucks so we can have great tasting flavored coffee as well as their refreshers (we like having those made with lemonade instead of water) which are so good on a hot day.
