Room location on the Fantasy

I am booked into #7598. It is midship. I am worried that it is not a good room. I don't want to look down at life boats. Would I be better changing to a higher floor?

3/4 of the ship looks down on lifeboats. Have you seen this photo?
I, personally would move up higher. But not deck 10.
Only problem is the higher you are the more expensive the cabin.

Thanks for the link I read a couple of reviews that said the lifeboat aren't that bad. We are in 7596 on the Fantasy don't really want to be any higher up so this works great for us. Plus we will be able to enjoy CC from our verandah

Higher = more expensive and more ship motion.

We have found that we like the higher rooms do to less rocking. While the boat does sway more in the higher rooms the directional changes aren't felt as severely at the higher levels. It is a smoother ride up top then lower in the boat.

We were in 7596 on the Dream and the lifeboats were not that big of a deal. You really had to peer over and straight down to see them. This location was perfect.

Absolutely agree you really have to lean over to see the lifeboats.

Why not deck 10? Just because of the noise from above?

We were on deck 7 on the Fantasy for the MV,port side & loved the location so much we booked the Fantasy ,DEc7 again for 3/9/13. We ended up almost directly across from the other cabin. We were away from the noise of more active decks, but close enough to everything to get back & forth from cabin to activities in quick time.
It just seemed like the perfect location.

Yes the potential noise from above, Also only 1/3 of verandas connect, The large overhang blocks light, however offers more shade and shelter.IMHO

Not too hijack the thread but I do appreciate all the feedback on deck 7. I had my pick of cat4 rooms with the DVC promotion and chose deck 7 cause we didnt want to be above or below anything too noisy. We chose 7596 hoping to see CC when we docked. I feel better with these deck 7 reviews thanks

Sorry first part of thread disappeared! We are also on deck 7 but completely aft with oversized veranda. Do they get any sun? Would love to hear from those who have stayed in those rear cabins
