I know for sure I want to go to the Elvis birthday party on January 8, 2017. They have a big party every year, and that will be JM's 18th birthday. I thinks it's so funny that I have a child born on Elvis' birthday, when I was so scared of him as a child.

I can't wait to see that picture!! I don't think I could have gotten my DH to do that for me. We went to two proms together, my senior and his (different years). I convinced him to wear tails to his because we were getting married a month after he graduated high school and I wanted to see how they looked on him. It's not that he was pooh sized at the time, he was 5'10" and 220 lbs of solid muscle (insert drooling smilie). The tails made his butt look massive. Every time I looked at him with the jacket on I heard, "I like big rears (changed for the DIS) and I cannot lie" in my head.

Why can't I make a single definitive decision for my upcoming trip!?
I have changed my reservation 3 times in the last 4 wks, and I still dont have the room I wanted, but I'm getting closer! My sister is tagging along with my family of 4 and the resorts seem limited for 5+. As of now, we're staying at POR, but now I'm considering Wyndham Bonnet Creek if I can't get a room in the Spring discount category at POR. WWYD?![]() The reasons I wanted to stay onsite are kinda going out the window! Extra Hours...am I really REALLY going to be lugging my 6 yr old around the MK at 1AM? Dining Plan...after looking at menus some table svc restaurants that I wanted to try, I don't think my 16 yr old is going to do more than pick at a roll or something and $55 is a little much for a roll ![]() My DH doesn't want to hear anything about Disney unless HE asks the question, and he said he'll ask where we're staying once we arrive in Orlando! ![]() Does WBC feel detached from WDW or is it just the same if I'm not doing meal plans and dragging my sleeping kiddo through the parks after hours?

our kids love Disney and are night owls anyway (all kids are different of course)The DDP is fine, but on our upcoming trip we are not using it and using TiW instead but the DDP has been a nice perk in the past for us. We stay onsite to be enveloped in our happy place bubble. I love not seeing outside influences for the whole time we are there. DH loves that he does not have to drive while we are there (his normal commute is an hour each way daily )Those are just some of my thoughts about staying offsite, but every family is different. Good luck with your choice.

Other than the perks of the dining plan, EMH's, Magical Express, and being immersed in Disney magic, we felt it was way easier to get back to our Disney resort mid-day when we needed/ wanted to. It's nice to be able to easily hop back to the resort on Disney transportation, swim a few hours, and then get back to a park. Quote:
Last night the DH and I figured out how much it would cost for us to upgrade to the DlxDDP, and it would cost almsot $800. When I see the cost like that, I'm not sure if it's worth it. We thought about just paying oop for a few meals, but our meal at Le Cellier, if we had paid oop for it, was close to $350. Then add CRT and it's close to $600. Hmmm, if we did 5 MYW, instead of 4, then we could go to Epcot on our last day and grab a quick lunch at Rose & Crown before heading home.

Are you driving? If no...I would recommend on site. My DS16 (he's now 21) would go to DTD and go to DisneyQuest when I hung at the resort and let the kiddos unwind (I was nervous doing it...but he was fine) Have you explored Swan at all...the pricing is better, It's not "WDW owned" but you get EMH....just a thought. They offer discounts for government, military, teachers, nurses...etc.... and

Ok, chime in on our boston trip. Here are our two hotel options.Omni Parker :2 nights, 2 bed + sofa bed, $660.00 (extra $45 per night parking, have to take cabs or public trans. everywhere, which is ok) Best Western Roundhouse suites : 2 nights, 2 beds +sofa bed, $390 . (free parking, free shuttle, free continental brfst) The Best Western is not in as nice an area, but the shuttle will take you to a closer subway stop to downtown and we could still take the subway and spend the day in the city. Any thoughts? I don't want to be super cheap, but could use that extra money for stuff to do while there. Also, considering whale watching...but I was very seasick when we did whale watching in Vancouver one year and am scared of that again! We will probably do the kids museum, science museum, aquarium, maybe duck tour?? Any thoughts ladies who know Boston?? I do have to think of our funds for DIsney!! )But, the duck tour is soooo much fun. A great way to see the city for sure. We love the science museum and the aquarium! Within walking distance to the aquarium is Faneuil Hall, so you'd be able to walk over there and check out the shops and performers and soak in all the history of that area. Also, if you like seafood, Legal Seafood is right next door to the aquarium too....YUM. |
