What is your favorite at each of these places?
I LOVE trying new restaurants, but I HATE worrying I will order something I don't like and end up not eating, lol. What is your favorite appetizer, meal and/or dessert at each of these places:
Narcoossee's (I can't decide between getting crab cakes for app and cheese plate for dessert or cheese plate for app and a regular dessert.....and thinking about getting the lobster for main dish) Fulton's (I am def. getting crab legs for main, but what about dessert/app?) California Grill (all I know is I'm getting the cheese plate here, lol) Yachtsman Steakhouse (getting cheese plate for app, but that's all I know) 50's Prime Time Flying Fish Cafe (getting cheese plate here, too) San Angel Inn (lunch) Mama Melrose's Jiko (getting cheese plate here) Clearly, I like cheese plates and am going to try as many as I can around the world....and I LOVE seafood, too....but I just don't know what to order at these places, either a lot of things look good or nothing looks good but we're eating there for DH.

At Narcoossee's I prefer the filet and lobster tail to the whole lobster. I need the steak to cut through some of the richness of the lobster! The Cali Grill rock shrimp salad is really yummy. At the Yahtsman you can't go wrong with the beef wellington. At 50's prime time the sampler, and I really like mama melrose for the shrimp campanelle.

Also, if you like cheese, I would highly suggest going to the Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar(Epcot,Italy) they have amazing cheese platters!

Poohsfan1-Were you at Flying Fish recently and got the Turf n Surf? I've seen a couple people mention it on the boards, but have never seen it on a menu...wondering if it will be available for my january trip?

Narcoossee's - Another vote for the Surf N Turf, it's very good. We'll be there next week and that's what I'll be having!

At Narcoossee's I really like the calamari and the whole steamed lobster. The baked chocolate mousse is also really good, but really rich.

Edit: In my original post to the OP, I called the Surf part of the Surf N' Turf at Flying Fish the Potato Wrapped Grouper, when in actuality it is the Potato Wrapped Red Snapper. Anyway, I really enjoyed that and will be having that again the next time we dine there. Last edited by PoohsFan1; 11-08-2012 at 10:01 PM. Reason: had a brain fart this morning |

We LOVED the fried chicken at 50s Prime Time. DH had the combo dish and liked the chicken as much as the pot roast which is a go to dish for him. He even ate half of my chicken serving.

I've only done 50s prime time of the places you listed, but their pot roast is a must-do for me each trip! SO yummy.

At Fultons the Alaska king crab was to die for, very expensive but we were on the DDP so it was ok lol. The hot skillet chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream is also amazing!
I second the enchiladas at San Angel, and if you don't like them spicy, the spice is almost all in the sauce so get it without! I also loved the tortilla soup... ate every last bit of it, would have licked the bowl if it wasn't gross and rude lol |
