I agree, the ice cream sandwiches are two toll house cookies on a scoop of Edys ice cream. The place smells great and looks the part, but its not a gourmet bake shop. It is a Nestle sponsorship moving to Starbucks

Sponsorship at disney is how it always has been. I remember reading that when Disneyland opened they rented out all the shops for five years and they had to past first and last year lease amount. That was how they got the money to run the park for the first years.

All about money. I can only imagine the financial agreement that they came to get a Starbucks on Main Street USA. Talk about prime location.
Hoping that a few of the optimists are right and that it stays mostly Main St Bakery with a new addition of Starbucks, but all the articles I've read lead readers to believe the contrary. Wonder what will close in DHS and AK to make room for the Bucks

Just so everyone is clear, that is a pure guess. I have no inside info and don't want to start a rumor by accident

I've had far better cinnamon rolls out of a refrigerated tube than from the MSB, and I only suck down a latte from there when I am in dire need of caffeine (so, every MK afternoon
). Welcome Starbucks, I raise my holiday creme brûlée latte in tribute.

I love gourmet coffee instead of Nescaf, just don't think Starbucks is it.
Don't have to change the baked goods to change the coffee served. |

For those who haven't seen the name on the DCA location:
![]() The rest of the signage refers to the actual name of the eatery: Fiddler Fifer and Practical Cafe. For the Starbucks fans... feast your eyes: ![]()

If the sign is similar to that i wouldn't mind, im just worried the big green neon sign will appear main street and ruin the themeing

I guess we (and Nicki's Todd ;-) ) are in the minority, but we find the MSB cinnamon rolls to be dry and horrid. We miss the french toast loaf and really don't go back except to grab a banana anymore, or the occasional croissant egg sandwich (delicious!). We will only miss those croissant ham and egg sandwiches!
We're excited for the new main street bakery/starbucks, and to see what it will be like. We are not huge starbucks fans, but dh has been known to order a venti caramel frap and I have been known to indulge in a gingerbread chai latte once or twice ;-) |

Oh! And what I really miss is the old fountainview in epcot! Well "old" for me, circa 2005. They used to make illy espresso and cappucino there. When it became the edy's ice cream parlor I shed a tear. Lol.

While I love Starbucks I love Main St. even more. The idea of Main St. is turn of the century Americana. It would be like putting a Best Buy in the place of Floyd's Barber Shop in Mayberry. A Starbucks will instantly take me right out of the magic. If they want to have Starbucks products inside great no problem but keep the theming the same and keep it Main St. Bakery. What's next A McDonald's in the place of Casey Jones? Please!
