Suggestions for 6 Day from Galvestion on 12/15

Hello.
Looking to see if anybody can give us some ideas for our 1st Disney Cruise out of Galvestion on 12-15 on the Magic. There will be my Wife and I and our 4 and 9 year old daughters. Any ideas for us are appreciated.

-Weather during that time (what to wear on ship and ports)?
-Excursions in Grand Cayman and Cazumel? Seems like there is not alot of time at port, really wanted to do a Myan excursion but at port only 6 hours?
-Any other tips to make cruise that much easier or special.

Thanks Again!

Hello Patrick,
We are also going on this cruise with our 7-year-old daughter. We live in Houston, so it's an easy drive for us.

As far as embarkation and debarkation in Galveston, the weather is really a lottery. I remember being able to wear short sleeves one year and having freezing temperatures another. But do not worry. We always went on cruises in December/January. It might be cool the first night, but when you wake up in the morning on your first sea day, what a difference.
The weather on the islands is going to be great.

If you have any time at all in Galveston, I think your daughters would enjoy the Moody Gardens. They have a nifty Aquarium as well as other kids-friendly attractions.

As far as Cozumel, you are right, the port time is too short. I looked up the Disney excursions and they do not have any tours to pyramids (like Tulum).
How about a dolphin swim? I know that my daughter is all over it.

Cayman Islands have nice beaches. But ask a driver to take you to the private beach. I know that some people enjoy turtle farm or stingrays.

I know that we will all have a great vacation.

Only 36 days left!!!!
