PH in DTD.....

Just how good/bad is it?

Arrive in WDW in late afternoon on 1/19 and looking to take advantage of the $15 coupon we are getting for booking with AAA.

Just want to get reviews fromt the peanut gallery who have actually been there.......

There's a reason that every single person who books a WDW package (not just with AAA - those vouchers are in all packages) gets one of those vouchers - and yet it is never hard to get a table there.

That'd be because, apparently, they can't even pay us to eat there.

We've done it a few times over the past years - most recently last spring.
Totally not worth the time, and the inevitable extra expense - that $15 doesn't go far, after all. "Mediocre" on its very best days.

Drop her off to spend the voucher, and tell her you'll meet her at WPE (one of my personal favorites) when she's ready for some decent food lol

PH? Do you mean Planet Hollywood? If so it's a very nice place to spend an hour looking around. But I wouldn't eat there for free.

yes please clarify if by PH you mean Planet Hollywood?

Another vote for WGPE! (market place location). its fabulous! its consistently mouth watering delicious, everytime. my fave is the bacon wrapped meatloaf with mashed potatoes. so yummy. so is the spaghetti and meatballs. my meals there have been better than a lot of table service restaurants! Planet Hollywood sucks!

Agree with most of the other posters here, just throw that coupon away. PH is not worth it. There are so many other good places to eat at DTD. Why waste time/calories on such a poor experience.

Could you use the PH coupon for an appetizer or dessert and eat your meal somewhere else? We were thinking of using it after seeing the late Cirque show for a "snack" before heading back to our resort.

Not worth it, at all. Very, very mediocre at best.

Our Ratings of Planet Hollywood: (7/30/2012)
. . . food price value: D
. . . food quality: C
. . . food quantity per serving: C
. . . food prep speed: C
. . . food selection: B
. . . seating quantity: B
. . . seating comfort: C
. . . eatery atmosphere: C
. . . eatery convenience: C
. . . staff friendliness: B
. . . staff attentiveness: C
. . . character interaction: n/a

NOTE1: Lots of memorabilia on the walls and the pillars. The over
priced food ($13 burgers, $21 fajitas, and $25 ribs) is highly mediocre.
The music level is so loud, it is hard to hear each other talk, even when
sitting next to each other, let alone across the table. There are really
far better eateries. Far better. This is good one to pass by.

NOTE2: Planet Hollywood has a 15% discount coupon available AT ANY
concierge desk at WDW resorts, most local gas stations, all local hotel
desks. If PH was that good and that popular, such coupons would not be
needed. This should be a hint for future patrons. By the way, the resort
concierge or tourist desk person gets a reward on each coupon that is
used, as encouragement to send patrons.

My family absolutely loves Planet Hollywood. We make it a must do for every trip. The steak and ribs are amazing!!!!!

As for Wolf Gang Puke Cafe, My family of 5 just couldn't stomach our meals and left before finishing it. The waiter asked if we wanted to take our desserts to go, but we declined (we were all feeling too ill). In short, WGP was the best 2-3 bites we ever had at Disney, but it quickly became the most disgusting meal we ever tasted in our lives. It was the oddest experience ever.

We use the coupon our first night, almost always, and just go with the flow. We like the atmosphere and don't have that high of expectations so it works for us!
