Poly Room Request
Can you provide recommendations on the best way to word a request for Poly? We are staying with my mom and hoping to be adjoining since she suffers from anxiety and mobility issues (shes only 60 but suffers from arthritis) I wanted to have a room close to the main lobby for easy monorail access. She's only going to the park one day and will likely be MK. She may join us at Epcot later that night. She uses a walker and will use that around the hotel, but when off to the parks she will need to go without it to the transportation so she can rent an ECV at the parks. When we go to the parks and she doesnt want to come, she will need to use her walker and hopefully getto the lobby to shop or stop for a quick meal. Any thoughts on a preferred lodge I should request or other wording? I'd love a balcony or patio, but that is secondary.

Do you want connecting rooms (door between them) or adjoining rooms (rooms next to each other)? I just want to be sure that you have the terminology correct.

Thank you - I mean connecting, although adjoining would be okay as well.

We love the Poly and it's layout. We asked for a 1st floor room, close to the lobby and pools. My DH has a RA which can make walking difficult. I called WDW reservation line and explained our situation to the CM. They were very accommodating. Our room was in the Niue building, 1st floor facing the Volcano pool. Steps from the GCH, Captian cooks and the pool. Check out the tikiman.com for detailed maps of the Poly and you can see which longhouse would work best for you and your family. 1st floor rooms have large patio's. Some buildings 2nd floor rooms have no balcony and some buildings have 2nd and 3rd floor balcony. Niue is the only 2 story longhouse with the 2nd floor only accessible by stairs or thru the elevator connecting from a different longhouse.

Don't request a specific building - that doesn't tell the room assigner what is important to you. Instead just request something like first floor near great ceremonial house.
