For brunch I generally wear nice pants, dressy blouse. DH wears pants, buttoned shirt.

No jeans, shorts or t-shirts. It is more casual than dinner. It is lovely, enjoy!

Brunch dress code is cruise casual (same as "regular" dinner attire in the main dining rooms).

It is officially listed as "cruise casual, no jeans or shorts." That said, enforcement is up to the manager.

We were quite shocked to see a young woman in "short shorts" at dinner. It was obviously a "go together" outfit and she had the body for it, but these shorts were so short that ...ummmm....her lower cheeks showed when she walked. I thought the "no shorts" would have banished this ensemble. Again, her attire didn't affect my dinner at all. It was just surprising that it was permitted.

I have a different question. We are boarding in two days! Scheduled Brunch for day 7. How do I tip? Do I hand the waiter cash or can I put in on the room key? Thanks for a quick response.

It was my understanding tip was included. If that is correct I plan to add any additional with cash. I am also new to Disny Cruise Line and just can not wait!!

The $20 per person charge is supposd to cover tip. However, a lot of people tip extra. You will be given a slip to sign (similar to a bill at a restaurant). You will be able to add a tip and charge it to your KTTW card.

Tipping at Palo is different than tipping your rotational dining servers, where you get envelopes and can add cash. I don't know if cash is accepted at Palo. But you can charge your KTTW card.

At the end of the brunch you will be handed a KTTW charge slip showing the $20 per person cost, any additional items (alcohol, sparkling water) you may have purchased, and a line for "additional tip."

DCL makes the situation clear as mud by saying that the $20 per person "includes gratuity. Many guests add additional gratuity."

So...nothing is required, but most people add $5-10 per person more to the ticket. Remember that if you do purchase additional bar items, a 15% tip is automatically included with those purchases already.

We did a nice dress, shirt/tie,slacks, there were some under dressed and casual, but they were very out of place compared to the majority of the other people there...

I wore a suit and tie to brunch and the maitre d' made e point to compliment me on my attire. He seemed genuinely pleased that I chose to dress for the meal.

I knew that the tip was included and wasn't expecting to add more but the service was so exceptional that I ended up tipping extra. It was well deserved!

This is what we wore to brunch on the Wonder in August (in Alaska). Excuse my hair--it was windy on the way to Palo. My husband opted not to wear a jacket and most of the men in there were not wearing jackets. He would have fit in either way. I hope this helps your wife.

As for a tip, we tipped $15 on our KTTW card. We did not have alcohol and I only ate strawberry soup and dessert.

Speaking of strawberry soup...yummy!
