It was pretty crazy. I was cold for HOURS after and it wasn't pretty. Eventually I crawled to the shower but brrrrr!

I like running a lot, but I think I'll like it more after I'm done with this half and I don't feel like I have to run or I'll never finish the race!

I commend you! I couldn't do that ever. Every time you say your running, you make me want to get up and run. I wish I could. You do an excellent job and at least you finish.

Tomorrow is step class!! Yippee! My fave and I haven't been the last 3 weeks (due to vacation and then illness and then the day after xmas. Hoping it won't be packed bcz of new year's resolutions

Happy New Year everyone!!! I hope everyone had a great New Year's eve. Mine was quiet. DD was off at a slumber party with her friends and DH was at his annual NYE poker game so DS and I rang in the new year at home. That was for the best though as he and I have been nursing colds for the past week or so. Actually I have had it for a couple of weeks. It goes away and then comes back
Between that, taking down all the holiday decorations and worrying about my upcoming proceedures for my back, I'm mentally and physically exhausted

Jetski - I hope you feel better soon! Are you trying any vitamins to help shake it? Could it be an infection you need antibiotics for?

Thanks!! I do think I may be dealing with an infection now. When I saw my doctor the last time (for the MRI results), I let him know that I was dealing with a cold and I was feeling the pressure in my sinuses. I have a history of getting sinus infections so he sent in a prescription for antibiotics and asked me to wait until the weekend to see how I felt. By the weekend, it seemed to be backing off so I didn't use the antibiotics (I try not to use them unless I really need them).

But last night I was feeling really lousy and was getting dizzy, etc. So I think I am dealing with more than just an ongoing cold here. So I started the antibiotics last night. Hopefully that will clear me up.

And I think we are going to take DS in also since his isn't going away on its own either. He hasn't complained about anything but congestion and cough though, but better safe than sorry. If he needs antibiotics, I want to get him started before he goes back to school next Monday.

Yeah I am prone to sinus infections too. They stink! I hope your meds kick it right out!

Next Monday? Wow - he got a long break!

They were in school all the way until the 21st so it was still just a two week break. I wish we would have had more time before the holiday but they are happy about it now, when they are still out of school

Thanks. I have a while before the surgery, if I even need to have it. I have to go through the nerve test and injections first (to see if that works). But darn, I shouldn't have spent time on google researching it. For the nerve test, I have read everything from "it was slightly uncomfortable" to "it was the most painful thing in my life" (ugh....). And then for the injections, I don't know if it is just one or a series of 3. Then we have to wait and see if it works before they decide on surgery.

I just need to plan all of that around my Vegas trip at the end of the month and our cruise in June (priorities, you know) Shoot, given what I have read about the nerve study, the injections and the surgery, I'm thinking the surgery would be the easiest

Doing OK here... went to zumba today only it wasn't zumba (instructor is out) so it was circuit training. Beat my butt!

But the new schedule came out starting next week and they added a monday evening step class! YAY!

Ohhhh, I miss Zumba. I can't wait to get this darn back thing taken care of so I can get back to some form of exercise. My clothes are getting tighter than they already were. Now that the holidays are over, I need to at least do some serious reduction in food consumption.

Can you do any walking at all? Maybe a treadmill? I am tired of all that food as well. I wish we could all find something better at christmas than eat.
