Family of 6 on cruise?

Has anyone cruised with 4 children? How does that work? did you have to book 2 rooms?
Kids are 15, 8, 6 & 3.

We had connecting cabins the first night our stateroom host set up all the beds and asked us the next morning asked how we wanted them set up our dd 13 slept in with us and the 3 DS in the other one we had to book with 1 adult in each cabin. we booked a VGT so we were ecstatic to get connecting cabins

The only options on the new ships are two rooms, on the classic ships you can get a concierge 2 bedroom or royal suite. However the cheapest option is going to be two rooms, and technically you will book on parent in each room. A lot of people get connecting rooms, but some people do an outside room and then an inside room across the hall. Disney doesn't mind who actually sleeps in the rooms, it is what you are comfortable with.

When we went this past Sept. we booked 2 rooms, connecting, and it was really nice. Our 18 & 13 yr old had 1 room and our 11 yr old shared our room. I would definately recommend going this route.

Four teenagers, two connecting inside rooms. We were on the Magic so the bed separates into two twins. We had all 4 of them in one room (two twin beds, couch and pull down bed), and us in our own room! But we let them use our bathroom if they asked nicely! We actually didn't give anyone the option of sharing our room . Connecting rooms was great. Deluxe inside rooms gave the split bathrooms which helped a lot. The stateroom hostess was sweet and accomodated all of our needs.

We have a trip planned next summer and are tentatively taking DD plus 4 nieces and nephews with us. We booked connecting rooms and as others have said, had to put one adult in each room. My mom also lives and vacations with us, so have her room that the niece that lives with us also shares. For the nights pre/post cruise, we crowd as much as possible to save hotel costs.

Connecting rooms. You'll need to BOOK one adult in each room, but no one cares who sleeps where. You can put all 4 kids in one room and have the second room for mom and dad, or split 3+3 (whichever works for you). I'd probably book it 4+2 so that you are sure to have a 4 person room!

We have booked two cabins. We couldn't get connecting but were able to get next door to each other. As our children are still quite young my husband and I will take a cabin and two kids each.

DH needs his verandah, so we have done connecting verandahs, but the teenagers prefer when we get them a "cave"...an inside stateroom. They love having their own room where they have some freedom and can sleep as late as they like. So, we have a verandah with the younger two, and the older two get the cave. But of course you have to book one adult in each room. Disney doesn't care who sleeps where.
