I booked cabana #19

Wow Disney marketing is really smart They make only 20 cabanas available and thus make them a very desirable thing. I saw one available and grabbed it as quickly as I could. Now I'm thinking, do I really want it? Or is it just because they are so hard to get Can you tell me about your wonderful or not so wonderful experiences with the cabanas? Thanks much

Personally, I don't like the price. For just DH & I (usually the only ones cruising) it just isn't worth it. Now, if I were traveling with (young) kids and/or older family members (and at least 6 of us), I might consider it. The convience of the shade and comfortable chairs would win.

But, for 2 of us, the umbrellas and loungers on the beach are fine.

Hey! That's OUR cabana! We had it last Feb and will again this Feb. We are traveling with another couple and it's so worth it. When we cruise alone, no.

That is the same Cabana we had in August. I really thought it was going to be a waste of money but we should try it anyway. I was so wrong. It was my DH and I and 2 friends and it was worth every penny. I had a sunburn so the shade was great. No hassle over the hammock or lounge chairs. Great "home base" for doing and seeing everything. And then there is the cabana attendant! I don't think I could be without one now that I am spoiled.

You should keep it and enjoy!

Just my 2 cents...we had one for our January 2011 cruise and have one booked for our upcoming January 2013 cruise (both on the family beach). By far, the best part of our last cruise. In our experience, having the private beach was what made it wonderful. At one point, we were the only ones on a long stretch of sand...it made us feel like we had the island to ourselves. Having a quiet place to stretch out in the shade was nice, and having a shower right there was nice too.

The cost is high, but in both cases, we were able to find someone to share a cabana with so we cut our costs in half.

I'm sailing January 12. Still haven't decided whether to keep it or not. If not, I'm sure it will make someone very happy when I cancel it

We have really enjoyed the cabanas in the past and feel we stay on the island longer, not just because we paid for the cabana, but its like having a private retreat.

Someone has posted a you tube video of every inch of the cabana, LOL

When you see it, you will not want to cancel it!!!!

I think you have up until 3 days before your sail date to cancel.

If you want to see what they look like, go on You Tube. There are some cabana tours. I wish I could have had one but they were sold out. I think you should keep it.

We had cabana 20 in May and we (DH, myself and our two DDs 19 and 23) thought it was the BEST part of the cruise. 100% relaxing. It was so nice to have a bit of the island all to ourselves. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

The only thing I didn't like - leaving!
