Breakfast at Chef Mickey or 1900 Park Fare?
I just made an ADR for 1900 Park Fare and now I am reading bad reviews of it. Would we be better off going to Chef Mickey for breakfast? We are staying at POFQ, planning on Epcot for that day and relying on Disney transportation.

All in all, since youre going to Epcot that day i would very highly recommend Cape May instead. The food is FAR FAR FAR better than 1900 & CM, plus its right by epcot!!! All you have to do is take a boat over to epcot from the beach club. The characters are super cute in their beach wear!! Plus the food is SO MUCH BETTER. And the place is a lot quieter too. BTW characters are minnie, donald, and goofy.

Ok. I've only had 1900 PF for dinner and it was decent. BUT, we have done CM's 3 times for breakfast, and anything has to be better than that...the third time definitely wasn't the charm in Chef Mickey's case. I know some people disagree, but that place is disgusting, IMHO.
The food is never the correct temperature. The buffet area is always a mess. We have found that some people for whatever reason during meals there do not feel the need to wait until the characters come to their table...rather, they will just get up and go to the characters even if they are already visiting with a table (yes, this has actually happened twice...and at no other character meal). Even my fab-5 loving kids have vowed, never again. |

I thought the dinner was below average. Not impressed at all. Bfast was far better. Although good, i still prefer 3 other places over 1900. (Cape May, CPalace, Tusker).

OP- I just responded to your other thread about a character breakfast on Epcot Day. I actually suggest Cape May Cafe at the BC. You can walk to Epcot after.
If you're looking at 1900 Park Fare or Chef Mickeys which are both along the monorail loop, I would nix both and do Ohana instead.

We had breakfast at 1900 on Oct 14th. It was great. Everyone found enough to fill their plates and no one complained about anything other than a bruised banana. I had a great interaction with the chef about allergy issues. The Mad Hatter was fabulous. Mary Poppins was a little boring.
Our only complaint was that it was cold in there!

All of the fruit was fresh, sweet, and juicy. Best fruit I have had in a long time. My omlet was very good which surprised me bc I am picky about my omlets. The strawberry soup was wonderful. I loved Mad Hatter, Pooh, and Tigger. The other two were kind of boring.

While I really like Chef Mickey's for breakfast (dinner is a totally different story), 1900 PF is my fave character breakfast. Great character interaction and really nice food options. Love it!

I ended up with an open morning last week and we booked 1900 Park Fare at the last minute. We all loved it! Even my 10 year old light eater almost got her money's worth - she loved the ham carving station.
Service was great, good character interaction. |
