Castaway Cay Damage
Does anyone know how much damage CC sustained in the hurricane? I'm sailing in late December for New Year's and I'm hoping that everything will be up and running by then. Fingers crossed!

DCL issued a release that the Tuesday stop was being postponed to Wednesday to give them more clean up time. My guess is that in 2 months, it will be more then guest ready!

As I posted on another thread the Dream did dock the water temperature was quite cool no snorkeling or stingrays and Crew Beach was closed.
Have seen some photos and there does not look to be any serious damage. Lots of guests in the water and on the beach. |

We were there Wed. and everything looked ok. Lots of sand where it did not belong. The teen area had lost its volleyball net but that's an easy fix. It was super windy and it took and extra couple of hours to dock. The captain did an amazing job getting us in. They were not doing a lot of the excursions because it was so windy. Should be ok for the next cruisers.

I agree with Tweety38. We were there Wednesday as well. Other then being windy and the water being cold, it was just like a typical day at Castaway Cay. I did the 5K and really didn't see any damage. There were some "new" sand bars in the water. CM's replaced Serenity Bay beach the day before we got there. They said it had been pretty much washed away. But, they did a fantastic job making it perfect again.
A windy day at Castaway Cay is better than any other day in the office!
