So if Disney decides to do a Star Wars 5th gate...

Okay, so let's say that Disney decides that Star Wars becomes the template for the "5th gate" at Disney World (yes I dare to dream).....

What would you want to see in it if you were going to design it?

Feel free to let the imagination flow. What lands would you put in? What type of attractions would you build? What type of restaurants would be created?

Go ahead...start planning!

I think I could see a Lucas Films based theme park as more of a possibility than just a Star Wars based park.

Would it be the Fifth gate or the Sith gate?

Cantina Resturant
Jabbas Palace to meet bounty hunters, villains, and Jabba
Boat ride through dagobah
X-wing/Tie Fighter dueling coaster
Hoth Planet area for cooling station
A meet and greet in the Jedi temple
A ride similar to TSM where you are a hero and you fight the empire with blasters.

I could go on for days.

Well let's keep the ball running here...

Each of the parks usually has their own iconic symbol/building (castle for MK, spaceship earth for Epcot, Tree of Life for AK etc...). What would it be for this one? I like the idea of the Jedi temple for this.

I love the Dagobah boat ride (probably like Pirates in terms of how it would work).

Another thing that pops in my mind would be something similar to the climatic battle in Ep. 4 instead of the dueling coaster. Maybe using technology like in Soarin'.

Since the parks are usually divided into "lands", I've done some thinking about how this park would be divided. My mind keeps going to one land in particular.....Mos Eisley spaceport. Here, you could have Jabba's Palace for the meet and greets like mentioned above. In terms of major rides, you could do something with landspeeders (like that ride now in Cars Land in DCA)...or maybe a simulation ride involving podracers.

In terms of dining, you have the Cantina of course. Maybe Jabba has a dining hall where he hosts banquets. Since the spaceport has a lot of trade, you have the shops, street food etc. Maybe the Millennium Falcon is docked in the shuttle bay and is available to walkthrough/explore (like that Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse). I'm certainly missing something for the younger guests....

Any further ideas?

Nice!

I think they should completely revamp MGM (yes, I still call it that) to be more Lucas-y. I know there is talk of Carsland but they could redo the Indy/StarWars area a bit to incorporate more Lucas stuff.
And can we please get rid of that odd dinosaur food building thing?! Am I the only one who hates that area?

It's too bad Universal has a lock on ET. They could redo alien encounter in MK by getting rid of Stitch and using ET

Putting in more Star Wars stuff in HS would be great - I'm not sure SW can handle having its own park. HS needs a few more E-ticket rides, anyway.

I think they could change the "fastpass" to the "hyperpass."

Another rollercoaster could be a good addition, so what about the "kessel run coaster?" in less than 12 parsecs, of course. It could be a dark coaster, and the "hyperspace" feature would be pretty stinking cool, I think.

Hoth cooling station with cold drinks and misters.

Bespin restaurant. Darth could arrive every few hours to whisk away a few "prisoners," maybe to a special table? Would be that fun +1 Disney aspect, you can't plan around it or pay for it - just random pixie dust!

With the Wii and Knect (sic?) type games, they could develop some kind of lightsaber duel game. Maybe like TSM where you ride through various battles in Jedi Training?

Ewok village = littles playground.

Hm, just realized I restated a few of your ideas, tehSAC. Didn't mean to do that...

Also, agree with the Cantina/Mos Eisley as the main area where you arrive. How easy to link that to the current star tours ride, where you're clearly flying out of a spaceport anyway?

The Ewok village would be a better compliment to the Swiss Family Robinson tree house. I know a lot of adults aren't Ewok fans but the kids would love it.

At the meet and greets you'd definitely need Luke, Leia, Darth Vader, R2D2, C3P0, Han Solo, Anakin, and Yoda.

There should be a Rebel Alliance victory parade.
