On our past trips to WDW, our TS experiences have always been while on the DDP (and, the kids were young).
My question for my upcoming trip is, if I am paying cash (thus no DDP "restrictions") at a TS restaurant, will I have problems ordering off the kids' menus for an 11-yr. old?? He eats like a bird and has pretty basic taste as well. TIA!

You won't have problems at most places. I know that there have been issues at one of the restaurants in Mexico and at the Plaza at MK, but I don't remember if those were dining plan issues or not. I would just ask and be prepared that you might get some "no"s.

We haven't had any problems. We don't do DDP and pay out of pocket, never had a problem at the restaurants. We've even had to get substitutes like grapes or fries, never a problem.
