Split stay AoA and WBC-which one first - The DIS Discussion Forums

I have a dilemma but one I'm happy to have. I talked DH into adding 4 more days to our trip. I already have ressies at AoA and my plan is to stay at WBC for the additional nights but I'm not sure which resort to stay at first?

Any advice from others who have done split stays between Disney and non-Disney properties?

Stay in the nicer place last. That would be the Wyndham in your case.

I'm not a fan of the split stay. It's more work and wasted time than I like to include in my vacations. But I do think that if you're doing it, you should save the best for last.

We're doing a split stay next August with AOA for 3 nights, then CSR for 4 nights. We stayed at WL first last time, then over to POFQ, and while we really liked POFQ, we didn't want to leave WL. Also, it wasn't a hassle for us. We went over to POFQ in the morning on our "relax" day by taxi with our luggage, and checked in and spent the day by the pool. It didn't really take up that much time. Have fun!!

Not sure what WBC is

but I'd stay at the nicest one last too!
If we do a split stay we stay at the moderate first, then move to the deluxe.
I pack the night before, and since my children are adults, they pack themselves

so I only have to pack my stuff. If I had a family to pack up, I might not do a split.

Wyndham Bonnet Creek. We were only going to stay at AoA for 7 nights but I convinced DH to extend our trip to 10 nights and he agreed. The only way I could swing it budget-wise was to stay 5 nights each at AoA then Bonnet Creek.

Out of our 4 past visits, we have done split stays so we're used to it and don't mind moving at all. My goal is to stay at all the resorts eventually.

Looking forward to staying in both.

I agree with kaligal. Do AoA first then WBC. Have a fantastic trip!!
