I'm usually at WDW as part of a family of 6 or 8. We have only ever been split up once, and that was as a party of 8 at CRT. We were placed at tables across the aisle from each other. Which may have as well been the same table, they are so close together there. Not a big deal for us.

My family of 5 got a table at sci-fi to accommodate us, so I don't think is a given.
