We leave on Saturday for the Fantasy east...

I know something changed in regards to the way we tip now, but I can't remember what the change was???

Also, regarding tips, is the recommended amount acceptable or is that considered the bare minimum? (I used the calculator at the link above)

I don't want to tip the bare miniumum or over tip, if the calculator makes it an acceptable tip.

Thank you!

If you didn't already prepay tips through your TA or DCL, they will now automatically add the recommended gratuities to your shipboard account. You can go to Guest Relations to modify the amount or have them removed if you prefer to tip in cash.

The recommended or suggested tip amount is just that--the amount that DCL says is the right amount. You are free to go higher or lower if you wish. If you do nothing, the suggested amount will be automatically added to your onboard account.

I knew I was going to leave the room host more due to my kids even before I sailed. They are messy. And that is what I arranged onboard.

Also I like nice round numbers so I rounded up for all too.

Having said that, I'm sure the recommended amount would be fine.
It's fine to tip recommended amounts.
