"Disney provided guests with a 25 percent discount on their cruise."

This makes it sound like we got a 25% refund on the 10/20/12 cruise, which is not the case.

Disney Cruises - Fantasy

The cruise ship getting the most attention is Disney Fantasy. CNN reported late on Sunday that the Fantasy was rocked and hammered by Hurricane Sandy's force, and there are a number of “frightening” videos on the Internet allegedly showing amazing destruction of plates and potted plants. One highly touted one shows water sloshing around suggesting the ship was flooded – but in fact the picture is of a shallow wading pool which was filled with a few inches of water

The footage I saw was of the adult pool's bar. That is part of the pool and always has water in it. I know that there was flooding elsewhere, but haven't seen any videos of that yet.

ETA: I just saw the one posted by the people who were washed across the deck. That bar is NOT in the pool. It is definitely flooding. The only other time I have seen so much water outside of the pool was last January's cruise on the Magic when the captain made a sharp U-turn after the pirate party and headed back into 50 knott winds with 20+ foot swells. The ship was listed for what seemed like several minutes while the water just kept pouring out of the Mickey pool and was a couple inches deep on that side of the ship. The CMs were trying to make light of it and tell everyone to go to the port side to balance out the ship.

Kinda makes you wonder why guests were out on the pool deck and being escorted off by a CM. I've seen deck 9 on the Magic closed several times during rough seas with CMs posted at the doors to not allow anyone past the ropes that were in place. We could look out and see the water sloshing out of the pools, but not one step past the doors!

I was not implying that DCL was being misleading, just that this made it seem as if it were something it was not.
